I have seen some of the captions for posts that assert the Playoff committee conspired to get an SEC team in the Playoffs and that is just garbage. If you look at the list of committee members, there is almost no tie to the SEC. If there was an effort to have an SEC presence, the committee would have had both Alabama and Georgia in. Georgia was a 2 time defending Champion and a case could have been made that they should go from 1 to 4 because they had been ranked first all year and only had the 1 loss. Somebody had to be left out and Florida State drew the short straw. Fair, nobody ever said life was fair.

Unless you believe in a conspiracy theory, the committee didn’t arbitrarily “want and SEC team in the playoff.” What they *DID* do is use their bias believing the SEC is inherently better to discount another P5 team who DIDN’T LOSE A SINGLE GAME.

To back that up, even their response reasonings have been poorly thought out and inconsistent. So either they are bias or VERY stupid. Given their résumé’s, it’s hard to believe they are that stupid.

the committee controls nothing, it's just a charade similar to government to give the illusion that it is fair and balanced.........your eyes are not deceiving you they left out an undefeated power 5 team and the tv controls who plays who aka abc/disney/espn.

IMO, the playoff committee has fell right back into the screwed up system they had with the BCS system that the playoff system was implemented to get away from bc ESECPN ran that system like they wanted to run it when they were the majority voice deciding who played for the NC every year!!!!!!

It's cute that you still believe in fairy tales like governing bodies having everyone's best interest at heart and their only agenda being fairness.
once you grow up and see the world for what it truly is, things begin to fall into place. You realize EVERYTHING that involves large sums of money at stake already has a predetermined outcome . Sometimes those outcomes can benefit you and sometimes not, but free will and choice definitely are not the reasons for it
