Fla. interest in Dabo a joke

There is no way UF has any serious interest in Dabo. I think if he were hired, the Gator fans would storm the AD's office with torches and pitchforks. Quite simply the man hasn't done a #### thing in his career to warrant the interest of UF or any other "high profile" school. The idea of him taking over at Bama after Saban? Same thing. Dabo would be a great fit for for a mid-level program that hasn't had a lot of success over the years. There aren't too many jobs out there better than Clemson. I know there are schools that could offer a boatload more money than Clemson could or would.
I just don't see any offer now or in the future for Dabo better than Clemson. Which unfortunately means we are stuck with him for at least 5 more years (until his buyout decreases drastically). I wasn't a fan of hiring him to begin with, and I've seen nothing in his tenure to change my mind. He backed his way into the ACC Championship and got #### lucky in the bowl against LSU (4th and 16). He's had a few big wins (UGA last year, the Orange Bowl) but overall his resume is lacking, especially considering his record against the Coots, which I fear will include another L neat week.
Dabo's a decent guy, can recruit great players but he's not a good in-game coach. Plus a great coach doesn't need his silly slogans and proclaimations like "All In" and You've got greatness in you". He needs to talk less and coach more (and better). It's true lot of the blame for the struggles this year lies with Morris' playcalling and the number of injuries we've had. But Dabo really screwed the pooch this year with the QB situation, and some of his comments (particularly about Stoudt) have been mind-boggling.
I hope he proves me wrong, but I haven't seen any evidence that he will. I see 4-5 years of mediocre success (yearly losses to FSU and USuc, maybe a win or two if really lucky, and at least one head scratching loss per year). I don't think that is what the fans want, I know I don't. My prediction is Clemson lets him go after 5 more seasons, which may be 5 too long. Prove me wrong Dabo, starting next week a beatdown of the Shamecocks.

To read past the first 3 posts in the thread to realize there are legit 10 other threads on the first page alone about the topic you JUST made?

He needs to work on his resume by beating FSU, SCAR and some other top ranked teams,adding a playoff win or two and more conference championships. He does that then he can go about anywhere he wants.

Remind me again how he “backed his way into the ACC Championship”…Seems like I remember we were 6-2, beat 5-3 FSU head-to-head and Coastal Division champion VT twice.
