First full game I have watched since LSU. Observations:

1) we looked great on that opening scripted drive.
2) I don’t think lil’ Swinney actually got in on the 2 pointer. Worked out great but will only encourage Dabo to do stupid #### like that again. Most assuredly against the coots and it could (once again) cost us a winnable game and bowl eligibility.
3) for every terrible blown coverage the defense had equally good plays. I lived having 7 on the line and when FSU resorted to all gadgets all the time around the middle of the 3rd quarter, we actually stayed pretty disciplined. Thank Mothra for those FSU drops though.
4) Dabo has once again shown his willingness to play a player to injury. FFS. Vizzina is fully capable of handing off to an RB and throwing the ball. If Cade can’t run having him in there provides no advantage. Please sit him for Louisville. Take our chances with Vizzina. Make the coot game for all the marbles.

Impossible to tell where the ball was on the two pointer.

I was a little iffy whether he made it or not too, but it was truly impossible to overturn. That said, it was a good call and energized the entire stadium. I liked the call...we saw something on film and exploited it. It's been a long time since I could confidently say THAT.
I like FSU's gadget plays individually...but they were heavily relying on those, and that shows a level of desperation that surprised me. They could have won, or made it really tense, had they simply executed. To that point, WAS our defense better? I feel like we LOOKED better because FSU didn't execute. We still have far too many blown coverages, and our gap integrity looks like middle school football.
Totally agree about the use of Cade at the end. The OL didn't help matters. They have shining moments followed by long stretches of incompetence. I think we have talent there, but it still looks to me like there is some disconnect between how they're being coached within the scheme. I feel like we have athletes on both the OL and defense, but we show low football IQ and poor communication.
The bottom line for me is FSU did every bit as much to beat themselves as we did to beat them. I'll take the win, and I'm happy to get it, but to be honest...FSU is simply a worse team than we are.

I liked the effort on defense. I saw more dirty jerseys than I have all year.

Better? Probably not but at least they looked like they cared.

But it's a lot easier to look like you care when the other team isn't having any success of their own making.

And effort at WR and RB. And Woods dive for that 1st down.

Yeah, I thought the defense was EXTREMELY lucky.

FSU had one wide open TD that the QB overthrew and one likely TD that the WR dropped. There were also 5+ midrange passes that were just awful drops.
Don't get me wrong, I'll take it all day.

The lights on the band were very cool (is this what you alluded to bengaline?)
Woke up with sore hands (from clapping you perves) and a sore throat (from yelling you perves) for the first time this season
The music was not so loud that the speakers were distorting
The upgrade to perimeter road is a game changer when it comes to leaving after a night game

I did not know that was what Mark Packer was eluding to. He just said something special was to happen.
Yes, the sound system did seem a bit less loud which is good!

It looks like the stadium is a single deck against a starry sky.

they even did it once when there was an incomplete pass in the end zone (premature TD celebration).
There's a time and a place for it, and it's not while live action is taking place. Timeouts and between kickoffs, sure, not while teams are on the field trying to huddle or call plays.

What is the bottom photo's formation supposed to be?

The one with the green thing in the middle. Almost looks like we've resurrected the flaming toilet Lamp of Knowledge logo from the '90s

it was some tribute to "Wicked" which I have no clue what that is

is it a Broadway show? Usually that's what it is. Or a tribute to Boston slang words. They spelled out "Wicked" at the beginning.
One formation looked like a witch on a broom so I guessing Wizard of Oz maybe? Me and Pop Culture don't always mix.
