I disagree. If the pay day is there they will go wherever. I don't think this is about playing for a winning or NC caliber team like it used to be. Otherwise, 4-5 stars wouldn't be going to all the schools that don't have a chance.
Now if you pay someone the $$$ AND have a shot at winning the NC, I can see maybe, but also, it comes down to whether they will play and shine to make it to the NFL. I think most decisions are made on $$$$$, current NIL and future NFL, whoever can show the most compelling path to $$$, wins

It has a lot to do with all the Clemson NFL draft prospects regressing and hurting their draft stock . Other schools will use this against us big time . Not one single prospect is living up the hype right now . We will likely lose many more out of the 2026 class before seasons last end

Judge, if not outbid, what do you think it is? IMO money is the main reason, both money paid now while in college, and money they think they will make in the NFL…. I think they paid more, and likely also sold them on development and future…. That’s what I would do if I was recruiting against CU… but if you think its not about money in the lead, you are nuts

It's part of it now.
If we lose many more then we'll just have to take the NIL they were going to get to buy a player from the portal. It's that simple. Dabo isn't so daft to not know he's got work to do to control damage after this horrid start.
