Attendance was 86,092. How’d they fit that many in the Valley? Must have been an amazing atmosphere!

I was a junior at Clemson. Weinke won it in 2000. (Should have been heupel). Dayne won it in 99. I remember the aisles were filled with people and you could not move. Fire Marshall said never again. Bowden should have went for it instead of kicking the field goal that got blocked by tay Cody who should have been suspended for that game. B Bowden made him serve his suspension after the Clemson game. It was a wild night that we absolutely blew.

Biggest game in the Valley since probably 88. It was cold that night. Had absolutely no business being within 20 points of that FSU team.

I remember that game pretty well, First it was cold as heck and it was the first game back for two of FSUs players (Peter Warrick and Levernous Coles i think) that had gotten in trouble for getting free clothes at Dillards. The store fronts in Clemson were painted with FSU players running from the cops and numerous Clemson fans wearing prison outfits. When we were walking in the stadium there were people passing out Dillards bags. They had thousands of them. After the fireworks everything was real smokey and people had tied the bags to helium filled balloons and they were just hovering in the stadium. Every time one of those players touched the ball the entire stadium chantd Jail Bird over and over. We were supposed to get blown out but played a great game on D and lost by a late FG, or missed a late FG, cant remember exactly.

Even though we lost, and finished the year 6-6, I felt that we had improved a ton. I thought that we were a lot better than our record indicated that year.

I was there and most remember being mad that warrick was playing. Seems like he had over 200 all purpose yards that night and I couldn’t believe he was still on team.
I will always enjoy destroying FSU no matter how long they suck.

It was freezing cold. I was a sophomore. One of the best things I ever saw was a kid standing at the bottom of the hill wearing Orange shorts and tennis shoes and nothing else, holding up a sign that said “Peter Warrick stole my clothes”
