The SEC Poll because they are the only teams that matter.
Then you could have the other poll- this would be for everybody else, other than Clemson!
Then you could have the TIGERS poll.

Because of the low regard the analyst have for the ACC - sports writers and media types think we should score every possession. Beat teams by 60 plus. And basically flex on everybody.
Where did flexing on "The SEC" get Bama last year? They flexed on the lowly SEC and beat everyone last year by 29.1 ppg.
Did they win the championship? No.
F the AP poll.
Keep winning Tigers and you basically can't be denied. If we continue winning we would be winners of 28 straight. CFP participants 4 straight years including 3 championship appearances and two national titles. Keeping us out would not be an option no matter how much pressure the SEC puts on voters. Remember everyone isn't pro SEC in that committee.

Yes it was 3 years ago. But the B1G has not scored a point in the CFP in 4 years and that and Bama remaining No 1 illustrates the bias in polls towards the SEC and B1G preTENd. I believe there is a lot of parity in the top 5 teams and none have really proved themselves then a big drop off after that. Texas, Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, A&M, Georgia, Auburn, Oregon would all lile to have 1 or 21 or wins against teams they have struggled with.

1) The real FINAL rankings that come out late on
2) That we are the defending national champions
3) That we are undefeated in 22 games
If we get to 28 on #3, combine that with #2 and we will be in the top 4 of #1.

ESPN and other have no respect for Clemson but that is okay. The mighty SEC is omnipotent but UNC beat South Carolina who in turn beat UGA and almost beat Florida, both teams are supposed to be so wonderful! Last year was the same and Clemson won handily. Tim Tebow and Paul Finebaum definitely are mentally challenged so obviously are not Clemson graduates.

On Packer and Durham, Wes said he went to the Mock CFP and that the committee does not let the outside noise influence them. He said if some try to push a certain team then they will get exposed. He also said that they don't just try to rank the top 4 but they take it seriously to rank all of the top 25.

This is just a load of ??, but here’s why I think they do it;
Plain and simple they are hoping against hope that their little darling, highly over rated teams will not once again have to be humiliated on national tv and spend the entire off season trying to find an excuse for getting their hineys whooped (i.e. we wuz ####, our schedule was too hard etc...) blah blah blah y’all know the drill. They just don’t want to play us. Period. So they resort to this. I find it hard to believe the AP poll knows more about recognizing great football teams than do the coaches that make the coaches poll (because they don’t).
When it’s all said and done, I believe the only real threat to the Mighty Mighty Tigers of Clemson will be the bayou bengals and we might only whoop them by 10-13 points with TL and Clemson in this so called offensive “slump”. Get ready bammer, ou and whoever else you can think of. The ROY bus is tuned up with a full tank of petrol. And the Tigers are coming for you...

I love our boys. However, I think if we remove OUR bias, the three teams ranked above us is realistic. Comprehensively, they have played better against their competition than we have against ours. You could even argue that Oklahoma has been more impressive. I do take exception to Alabama not dropping (LSU or Ohio State should be no. 1). Tennessee further exposed the flaws in Bama’s defense. A fairly good team would have beaten them Saturday night, and UT was not the team to do that.
That said, the AP poll is meaningless. It is nothing more than a collection of sportswriters opinions. And they have bias. It has no bearing on the playoffs. It is promoted as important because the sportswriters work for the media outlets that emphasize it as something important. The AP is a holdover from when this poll used to be the basis for awarding the national championship. Thankfully, that has been taken away from them.
All we have to win out. Either LSU or Bama will drop after they play each other. As it has been said, our biggest obstacle is ourselves. I expect that Dabo will use this as motivation due to lack of respect. A return to what got us our prior championships. At this stage, style points influence the AP. Keeping this team motivated against mediocre competition is Dabo’s biggest challenge. We also need to be wary against a highly incentivized South Carolina and Virginia (ACC championship) teams. There is a very good chance there could be four undefeated teams at playoff time. A single loss will knock us out.

You look at Alabama, Ohio st and all
With the exception of LSU has played no better teams than we have. HeIi Ohio st hadn’t played anyone with a pulse and so far neither has Alabama.

You are right, they didn’t play anyone better than us. But, they have played better against those opponents than we have against ours. There is no denying this, which is why we are 4th.

The AP poll is completely irrelevant. It just gives people something to talk (argue) about. As a matter of fact, the CFP rankings are irrelevant except for the final one. Alabama plays LSU which eliminate one of them from the SEC championship effectively eliminating one from the playoffs. Same for Ohio State and Penn State. Until then the rankings aren't worth worrying about.
The only good that will come from the rankings is that Clemson will use the disrespect as motivation to dismantle the rest of the teams they have to play.
