to me. Not that I ever had anything against it.

Correct. I love the intensity and enthusiasm for the game that these schools show every year. Their playoffs are a lot more intense than the Power 5 bowls.

I think going to a 12-team playoff next year will ultimately bring the same vibe to D1.

Last night they talked about the transfers in and out.

They take players and lose players just like Div 1.

I guess there isn't much money involved if that makes a difference.

It does seem more like "student athletes" competing than professionals.

Certainly doesn't seem like a professional league in which there are no rules, like Power Five College Football.

NIL still allowed there. Just not as many power hungry donors to

During their 5th national title. The energy during the playoff run was great. All about on the field and not worrying about impressing committees.

The 12 team playoff next year is a GOOD thing

Today, the FBS playoff is a popularity contest. One day they will go to a true objective playoff, 16 teams. Simple, winner of each Conference automatically go and the rest are wildcards. May the best team win. None of this “we got more guys from work release so naturally we’re better than you”.

When Marshall was FCS (1AA), we went to a bunch of playoff games and even a few championships. Those were good times.

With the changing landscape all I watch are Clemson games, most of the Marshall games, and zero nfl.

Yep, my son goes to WCU, beautiful campus, parking is easy, great seats relatively cheap. The band still gets to play a lot. It’s a great experience.

As a former student of Georgia Southern and fan. I miss the days we were in the SoCon.
