Injury wise our Tigers are one beat up team and because of it,the Open Date has come at a really good time.Going to be two weeks of some serious healing and rest.

The fake punt was awful.
We never adjusted.
Babers is a legit coach, Cuse played a great game.

First of all we can't cover anybody that showed up tonight. I have always said that kelly bryant wasn't the best qb on the field. Hunter johnson would have made those throws that zerrick cooper missed badly . Plus we overlooked Syracuse.

This, on the Hunter Johnson part, especially. The D was tentative and looked very confused for much of the night. Not getting the defense set until the play is snapped seemed to cost us last night. Hope we get it fixed in the next 2 weeks.

How does a team beat AU, UL, VT and then lose to Syracuse? Check the water for drugs, or something. The Defense looked very confused all night, and I must admit, I was very skeptical of KB starting the game coming off that injury. Also, I have not been very impressed with Cooper at QB. I don't see practice every day, but I have seen all the games, and he has not looked as capable as Hunter Johnson. Hope we get what ails us fixed, and win the rest. There is work to do, though.

My thought exactly! While I admit I do not watch practice or prep meetings, what I have done is watch all on field performance during games. Hunter Johnson showed much much better than Cooper in the Wake game. Johnson's passes were caught, while Cooper seemed to throw much too hard to be handled by the receivers for where his balls were placed. Hard or impossible to catch a poorly placed ball that has too much zip on it! I am still firmly behind our coaches, but in my opinion the decision to play Cooper ahead of Johnson was a major factor in losing to Syracuse (along with taking 'cause for granted going in by all facets of our team}.

Another victim in the Friday night implosion. Etienne is one of the best of the best. Dabo needs to keep this young man safe from ALL harm, not use him for cheap thrills. Hope Travis is good come Georgia Tech.

Injuries happen in football. It is easy to coach sitting on your couch at home. Evidently coaches have no real confidence in HJ yet- and not just Dabo. Remember we never see practice.
If you have ever coached and I have) on any level, you will have a game where your team just doesn't show up no matter what the preparation. Maybe they disrespect their opponents, maybe they read too much about how great they are, maybe they just get in a funk and don't care --these are 18-22 year-old kids.
In 1965 team had to sleep in little gym at Fike field house. As a manager, it was my turn night before the USC game to "sleep at the door". The next morning there was no doubt in my mind that we were going to lose because of the attitude, especially the seniors --and we did.
Don't understand about KB's ankle unless he wanted to play so bad he did a good job of lying about it. Have seen that before too. As a "couch coach" though, soon as he started to limp he should have come out. Know the coaches tried to get ZC comfortable in the game, but looking back we didn't have enough possessions to evaluate and then get HJ in for any time. Defense couldn't get 'Cuse off the field.
Glad we have 15 days before tech. Maybe team was looking ahead to time off?

All this is true. Though we haven't seen practices, we have seen some play of Cooper and a little of Hunter Johnson, and from what I have seen, Johnson has performed very well when he has led the team, but Cooper has not done as well, IMO. I do hope Lawrence is all we believe he will be. We need some help at QB.

BTW, Hunter Johnson should have at least been given a chance since the Syracuse secondary was pathetic.

Bryant should have been pulled the minute he was gimpy trying to get out of bounds. cuse so this and knew he couldnt run. it is also an indirect cause of the concussion....anyone who has played hurt knows it even affects the way u allow yourself to go down.
