It is terrible. We have historically had great defenses and an awesome home field advantage, we don’t need this to get fans excited for a third down stop.
I enjoy a number of the newer things for the fan experience ( DJ Shae, light shows, video montages, playing Pursuit of Happiness after the 4th quarter video) but this 3rd down thing is something out of the Coot playbook.

they got it from other teams that do it across the country and it is just as irritating there as it was here last night. Clemson people have always operated with "class" and this is about as "Bush League" as it comes. If you want to do that garbage, go to Columbia and buy a shower curtain! This mess should be stopped IMMEDIATELY!!

I emailed fan feedback about it this morning and got a response from Clemson Athletics and I quote
“ As it pertains to the 3rd down comment….you will not hear that in Memorial Stadium again.”
