Eh. The OP said he will win a title next year. Dabo has won exactly two so far. With generational talent at several key positions and coaches that were either good enough to win it all or were not so bad that the talent overcame their deficiencies.
Yes, he delivers when his back is against the wall….eventually. But even when he does “deliver” that doesn’t mean a championship. With Tajh he delivered. But no title.
It’s not just about how great he is as CEO. It has a lot more to do than that. Only Saban could produce every 2-3 years consistently. With off the charts talent that didn’t transfer.

A . an Effective DC. Needs to come in with lighting like Chad Morris’s did with the O in 2011
B. Production from 2 legit quality RB. They don’t have to be Etiene, but Gallman hard core style
C. A Punter that can average 45+ and quit having the opponent filo filed possession on change over of downs
D. Minimal injuries. Dang past 3 season every week someone was out for the year it seemed. That was occurring on the Natty runs.
E. The right bounce of the ball, or missed fields goal (NCST 2016), or 4th and whatever pass (Syracuse 2018) etc…

most of our losses should be laid on the backs of in game offensive playcalling. We went brain-dead way too many games with just dum tone deaf offensive playcalls. I don't know if its Cade's lack of awareness to check out of plays or Dabo wanting injured RBs to run the ball on 2nd and 8 in crunch time. The 2 run plays against texas on 3rd and 4th and goal were perfect examples of dead plays before they even ran it. IF offensive playcalling isn't shored up this coming year then we'll have the same kinda year.
Defense was lacking against the run..but all in all, kept us in games IMO. Offense was a huge weakeness at times and then a huge asset at times.. I think it comes down to teach Cade how to call plays at the line and a revamp of in game adjustments by our coordinator.

The blocked kicks phase of this past season, combined with lackluster punting and no real plan to block or return punts/kicks on any sort of regular basis did not help our cause.
We have an excellent kicker…but we can’t have that happen again with the blocked kicks.

and we have tremendous luck with injuries, the portal acquisition at DE is a home run(2nd team all-ACC or better) then we'd have a shot at winning 1 or 2 playoff games. Winning the whole thing with 12 teams is similar to winning the NCAA tournament with 64:too many variables to account, luck being an overwhelming factor much like betting on a single number roulette.

I don't think it's very likely. Alot of things need to come together, and we are certainly at a talent disadvantage compared to some of the other top programs right now, so that would need to be overcome as well. I don't care what the 247 talent composite thing says.
We have alot of pieces coming back on offense so I could potentially see that coming together, but we were incredibly inconsistent on that side of the ball this year. The running game has to be better. It feels like we have alot of eggs in the Gideon Davidson basket and he's only going to be a FR. That probably means rotational guy, not feature back. I'm not sold on anyone on the current roster. We were in dire need of somebody to emerge late in the year and nobody did.
Defensively, we need better coaching, more depth, and quite honestly, just better players at certain positions. I hope the Purdue kid works out at DE. Terrell needs to be better. He was getting roasted later in the season. Tons of PIs given up. The LB group as a whole just needs to be better.
Special teams need a major overhaul. I don't think I need to elaborate.

A change in the coaching staff will help but saying it will put plus over the top in just 1 year is aggressive at best. It's ok to bleed Clemson orange, it's also perfectly fine to be reasonable. The last 4 years hasnt set us up to be a national title contender.

Would love to shock the world, but unfortunately not... New DC will be a plus , but lack of depth at many positions will be a problem. Our schedule is alot tougher, we have no real generationly players on the roster! Cade and Sammy Brown maybe... When Dabo won those titles, he had great players at QB, RB , and WR, plus we had depth on DL , CB, and Safety. Our OL and DL are not elite. Also our assistant coaches were some of the best during those title runs, the problem today is we still have unproven assistant coaches at certain positions....
Even if we make it through the year and don't have any injuries , get lucky on calls during the game or our game management would drastically improved, we might be a top 10 team, ACC Championship, CFP , maybe 11-3 is our ceiling.

In the new world with a 12 team playoff, winning a NC will be very difficult for any team. You have to win 3 consecutive games (or 4 depending on a bye or not) against some of the best competition in college football. Let's concentrate on making the playoffs each year and then hope for a little luck and consistency to get into the championship game. We've shown we can win the big game. We have never been predicted to win the final but have on 3 occasions!
