Feel free to also go look at Norvell, Ryan Day’s, Lincoln Riley’s, Mark Stoops, and Lane Kiffin’s.
Dabo has almost more Conference championships than all of them COMBINED.
He’s also got two Natty’s.
He’s not perfect, but dang it he is a great coach and has done a ton to put us back on the map.
Let’s get more hardware.

They want high performance from staff. They want us to be competitive in all phases of the game, recruiting, NIL, Portal, etc. If we do those things, then we can compete with the top 4-6.
What most see is that we are beginning to slip. Whether that's reality or not is one's interpretation. But a top 6 program shouldn't have lost to UL, the Coots and last years' losses.
Without doing NIL and the Portal, then we have to be near perfect in every game. And that's impossible. We haven't been close since Lawrence left.
Some say we've recruited in the Portal, but how serious were we. You hear CDS's speeches to the team and talking points and I don't see much effort.

Who is "THEY" you're representing? I don't want those things at all, unless they come with a program that graduates it's players and develops better Men. Unrealistically sometimes we expect more without realizing what actually has to be done to achieve that. Coach Swinney has done a great job and considering he’s working with less right now I’d say he’s still doing a pretty masterful job. It’s totally insane to talk about this man in the same context, we’ve talked about previous coaches that could not get it done here. So let’s just pull together and trust the man has a plan because so far the only thing I see wrong is he gives an overly rose colored perception and that’s just because he’s a very positive person not because he’s trying to lie to us I think. Go Tigers Beat SMU.

Good stats here. Id love a 5 year ahead glance at the college footbal landscape and see how all of this NIL and pay for play has panned out. But for right now, I still say I appreciate Dabo and all he has done for us. Hopefully we add another trophy to the case on Saturday night.

I feel pretty sure that most complaints for Dabo come after BV and Elliott left and Dabo made several very questionable hires within that actually didn't have enough experience to coach at the same positions on a top HS team...

I think some of those are well merited.
Streeter is a weird one bc when he came to town we started really winning.
I think the biggest difference for our team is NIL/Portal Exits.
Think of what the defense might be like if we keep a guy like Mukuba…
That being said, I don’t wholeheartedly disagree with your sentiment.

Dabo earned his pay. He went to 4 national title games and won 2. He is one of two active HC's that have won a title. That being said, I also won't shame people for demanding a higher standard. I am also frustrated by Dabo's lack of use of the portal. And I am also frustrated by his approach of most NIL dollars going to retain current players, rather than play the game everyone else is. Especially when he says we have the money, and that lack of money is not the problem. Two things can be true at once. It can be true that Dabo has earned his pay, while also being true that he needs to change his philosophy some about NIL and the portal to justify his pay. I do believe he has finally come around to the way things are, and we will see some positive changes this offseason.
PS, Goodwin is not worth his salary. And Riley has shown flashes, but needs to prove he is worth his.

With exception of Norvell - all coached in better conferences. Our BOT got ego-wired and wanted to make Dabo even or close to Saban. Others have followed. It’s all out of whack and everyone of those guys have established foundations to turn around and give money away. They know it’s crazy.

Sooner or later, they will get their wish, either Dabo leaves because he gets fed up with the noise, or some misguided bigwigs run him off like they did Danny. Then, we will go back to being LESS than mediocre, and they will moan about that, too. But, they will have reaped what they sowed.

Alabama didn’t fall far until this year. Sabin didn’t want to deal with NIL and the transfer portal.
And I can’t believe that anyone wants Dabo fired. That’s kinda crazy, but it shouldn’t be a surprise that we expected our success to continue at the same level.
It appears as though the coaches don’t have the the same fire in our recruiting as we did, and we aren’t as prepared for the games.

all the revenue from these sports goes to 2 places.
1) right back to the students.. in facilities, travel, stipends, clothes, room and board..etc.
2) the coaches and admin salaries.
It's a lot easier to defend the amateur sports model with #1 than #2.
How can you say this is amateur sports when the coaches are making twice what their professional counterparts make?

I think a lot of people miss it. Most (close to all) fans very much respect what Dabo has done. But fans are also allowed to expect more than last 4 years. That’s fair too. WISH he would just adapt or retire. But way more adapt. Just do it. It does seem like ego sometimes. Not always.

I think Dabo has been very prudent about it. As long as the college football landscape has been/ is fluid, he has just stayed the course playing a steady long game. Fluid from the standpoint of NIL, conference realignment, transfer portal, pay for play. As Saban/NorvellRiley learned trying to manage a moving target is hit or miss. Once the rules become clear, or at least less muddy Dabo will play by them and Clemson will be very successful. Many people have underestimated Dabo to their detriment. That is what I believe feel free to disagree.

Dado has accomplished more than any active head coach. My main beef is after all this success , he is now putting inexperienced coaches in critical roles, and the effects are showing up on the field. Shouldn’t a top five paid staff have top five assistant coaches? I applaud Dani’s strategy of recruiting from within and grow the coaches up, but if it leads to losing to the gamecocks every other year, we need a new strategy

I complain about college FB HC pay period bc they get way to much money for coaching kids fresh out of HS to play a sport.
They get paid more than a President and he has to run a country. Without doing any type of research, I'm going to say that college FB coaches are probably the 2nd or 3d highest paid people in the work force...

Dabo has earned every penny he makes … the ppl saying other wise are simply put idiots. Do most of us think he should maybe make better hires around him , absolutely. He did it with Luke let’s just see what happens this off season. I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple changes are made… Dabo isn’t dumb but he’s never and never will be the guy to talk about it or down guys on the staff during the season … especially trying to prepare his team to win a championship and get into the CFP.

Amen! Most fans have no idea what a top 5 Coach brings in $ and TV time to a school. If we did not have DABO our school would be a run of the mill college most likely ranked 6-8 in the ACC.
