Every OL Commit...

Headline makes me jump up and see if it’s Clay Webb.
I feel like this guy is seriously mulling us over. He’s had Multiple visits. Obviously, it would be great to have him after the departure of Hyatt.
-I see Bates is his P. recruiter, which makes sense... Did Bates help get Ross out of Bama or was that pretty much WRU, Swinney, Jeff Scott and Bates, etc working its magic on him? Matters not I guess...
May the magic work again... ??

Webb + Putnam would be a great finish to this year's OL haul.

He’s a guard. Hyatt is a tackle. It’s not like he’d replace Hyatt.
But speaking if o-line, it seems we had 1 o-line signee this last year and only one ommitment for the next year with 24 spots already taken. What am I missing? Obviously Dabo and team j is what they are doing. I’m just trying to catch up there.

We took two last year. Mcfadden's on the team too and even though he redshirt it seems like they're confident that he was a hit and can be a contributor next season.
Tackle depth isn't good and it probably isn't going to be much better next year though. Even if we get Webb and Putnam it doesn't really solve the tackle issue, although Putnam could play some RT if needed.

Hahaha.
Clay Webb
School: Oxford (Ala.)
Position: Center
Yes. He wouldn’t be a perfect 1 to 1 for Hyatt. He doesn’t play the same position. I was saying another highly rated OL to another.
I think once we fill out our OL with more monsters... we will be one step closer to have a even More dangerous running and passing game.
Then... we should recruit a punter haha. Only half kinding

What position will he play on the line in college? I think Carman will replace Hyatt but the other OL positions are not locks for anyone IMO. If he's at 295 still tackle makes sense but if he gets up to 310+ put him a guard or center depending on abilities.
We have a phenomenal QB and amazing RB's that need proper blocking.

Webb and Putnam are both early signing period guys

If we miss on both there's still time before the regular signing day to put the full court press on some other prospects.

Not really. Most the good OL are probably going to sign on early signing day.
They were way too slow in expanding the board last class, which seems like it's gotten a bit better. Offering Stacey Wilkins two days before he was scheduled to commit and never offering Enokk Vimahi not withstanding. This class we've just mostly gotten beat for everybody.
