1. To get a top position player such as QB requires tampering in some way. Not that schools are being penalized for this but do you really think Dabo will cross into this area. Almost every top player knows where they are going when they enter the portal. I don’t ever see Dabo playing that game even if he suddenly becomes good with bringing in transfers.

2. We have to committed to spending money and that money is often going to be above what current players on the team make. There will need to be a strategy and system developed that addresses how this work. I seriously doubt Dabo has the appetite to do this and his hunger to win seems gone. If he was hungry he might be willing to do it but I just don’t see it.

Something has to change with our approach. We’ve let Dabo do it his way the past few years but it’s obviously not working. Hard decisions have to be made and soon.

One other thing. Dabo need to hire real assistant and position coaches

at QB, WR, RB, OC and DC. Riley’s success was based on Dykes and Goodwin was completely unproven. The hiring of inexperienced coaches and friends is a major issue as has been pointed out over and over again.

Our DC seems to be doing a pretty good job. If we had some portal players to fill in for our starters instead of McCloud we would have been better.

I agree. I don’t think Wes is a problem. He has a serious lack of depth and talented depth in some areas.

hire while not looking very good right now, was not his typical homer hire. Might not turn out well but he was praised by almost everyone for firing Streeter and getting Riley.

Despite the odds, I actually think Goodwin has worked out. But I'd replace the WR coach first.

1. There is no such thing as tampering.
That is an obsolete concept that was based on an illegal NCAA rule.

2. So what? Loyalty to athletes that can't get wins is bogus.
