I'm not sure about this! I hope this is not a knee jerk reaction to what has been going on else where. I would like to bring in a couple more teams but the west coast?? How will anyone benefit from this?

The only thing I can think of is that adding these teams would allow the TV contract to be renegotiated. Most of the articles mention that the ACC's contract is below market value, so maybe the idea is really to renegotiate the value of the current schools, not really about the new schools bringing any value themselves.

Imagine being a student athlete at Stanford in one of the non football sports and having a game at BC on Wednesday night and then another cross country back and forth on the weekend at Miami. All this while trying to go to classes.

Only have to take 6 credits a semester to stay eligible. Most go to summer school and make up their hrs then and off season. Lot of classes are online as well nowadays so if you can't handle 6hrs (2 classes likely electives in season) then not much of a student athlete.

Maybe that is not their plan. Maybe they want to be doctors and lawyers and need to be in person. Maybe they want their families to watch in person. Maybe they don’t want to go to summer school.

Dumb Coot! Haha! You obviously don't know chit about student athletes. Name one basketball player that from Clemson that became a Dr? Name one that doesn't go to summer school basketball or football player that doesn't go to summer school? Baseball players don't have full schollies so they often go play league in summer if they want but many still go to summer school. Plus, i said they only have to take 6hrs to be eligible doesn't mean they do!

The most unsurprising part of the tweet is that the ACC presidents didn't vote and can't make a decision. 6 to 9 months ago the college football landscape was ripe to pluck Utah, ASU, AZ, and CO but they slept through it. Even ACC money is/was better than PAC12 money.

I haven't seen anything to say that any president would intentionally skip it, but I don't have a roll call for it. I imagine there have been all manners of meetings related to expansion and today's athletics climate for presidents and ADs lately.
