ESPN radio in Columbia

Aug 20, 2012, 9:08 PM

I'm thinking about buying one of those radios that you can sync with the television. That way I can listen to the Clemson radio broadcast and not have a delay between picture and sound. With the collapse of ESPN radio in Columbia, does anyone know which station in Columbia is going to carry the CU games. No need the buy the thing if I can't pick up a station. TIA

I may be wrong, but its my understanding that the station will still broadcast Clemson games.

As a business owner in Columbia I can tell you they will still carry it. They have already contacted me about staying a sponsor.

did they give you any info whether another station is going to pick up ESPN? As much as I like 107.5, wouldn't mind being able to listen to Cowherd from the 10-1 slot. And yes, I realize that comment will make you guys despise even more, if that's possible.

Still cracks me up that there is no ESPN radio in a city the

size of Columbia. I guess if you're not talking gamecock sports 24/7 on every sports station, the locals have no interest.

When ESPN was on 93.1 they didn't have 3 hour….

shamecock love fest shows. They talked about all sports: pro, college, high school. But at the same time their announcers were boring. But do you think a quality sports radio host would come to the armpit of the south.
