ESPN is already getting ready for the ACC hype

Sep 9, 2016, 10:33 PM

Watch for it. With the SEC looking like a dumpster fire (Bama aside), look for ESPN to start talking up the ACC with our new contract. We have 2 of the best teams in the nation (Clemson and FSU), as well as 3 potentially great teams in Louisville, Miami, and VT. Only time will tell, but ESPN is already pushing for the ACC to get two teams into the playoff this year.

Yes the SEC is going to be a dumpster fire this year...

Good to see some fans are already embracing it.

There's something in these hills.

VT has a chance to be a great team this year.

They have an opportunity for greatness and have good enough talent to make a statement. We will see how they do. The same can be said for Miami. We will have to see how these new coaching staffs do.

I believe Fuente will make VT good

But just don't have the pieces this year. I went to medical school at Va Tech and follow them kind of peripherally but their recruiting has not been very good the past few years.

Hate to say....

But Louisville makes me abit nervous.
They could be the best or 1 of the top 2 teams in the ACC.

Yea Louisville has looked really good the first 2 games of the season but they honestly haven't played anyone yet. I'll hold off judgment until after the FSU game and they go against their defense.

We will have our oppotunity to put of 60 or 70 points

If VT beats UT today and they are a prohibitive underdog in doing so , it will in my mind signal that the SEC has narrowed down to a couple of goods ( UGA/LSU and a single elite in Bama . There are of course Ole Miss and maybe UF and TAMU that are good teams , but more info is needed there .
Meanwhile , Clemson and FSU and Louisville in one branch of the ACC sets the Atlantic apary , in my opinion.
The B1G with OSU/MICH/Msu aand Wisky would be the other challenger to best division in football .
