What explains Bush allowing in illegals? Or Obama? or Trump? Or Clinton. Or Reagan?

I'm sorry fellow republicans. This was the brainchild of our very own party. I'm sure dems don't have an issue with getting them to vote dem whenever possible, but the REASON they're here, and allowed to be here, has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with economics. Elon knows this, and he's simply pandering on his social media account.

Economic bubbles tend to follow waves of illegals. The Bush wave ended in the housing crisis, which was fueled in large part on illegal labor. Without it we would not have had a housing crisis. We couldn't have built as many homes to finance with crap mortgages. The real Inflation reduction Act is to allow in as many illegals as possible. They deflate labor costs, increase domestic labor supply, and boost the economy. This happens everywhere. UK, Italy, Ancient Rome, British Empire, early 19th century USA, and in some smaller, less populated Middle Eastern countries awash in oil.

Musk knows this. Biden knows this. Economists know this. Obama knew this. Bush knew this. Reagan knew this. And you don't.

If MAGA gets their way (and they won't) we will have a massive recession. Trump knows this, btw.

The average American has NO CLUE how dependent they are on our "problems". They will eventually, to the extent those "problems" are "fixed".

earners for their families back home. They aren't escaping anything other than poverty.

Just like the SSA could easily track down millions of illegals who they know use illegal SSN's, they could also be stopped by limiting the $100 billion+ OUTFLOW of dollars to their families in other countries.

None of this is done, however, for very good reasons that are never explained to the MAGA types, or the libs even. And this is why the problem is never solved. Through the past seven Presidents, 3 from one party, and four from another. Including Trump. As long as America has a job for them and work (we currently have 9 million jobs unfilled), financed with our debt largely, they will still come here AS LONG as they can send their earnings home. I've talked to the parents of illegals, who live in Mexico. They literally send their oldest son to the US to work, and this is a planned, designed thing for the family. Then their next oldest. And momma and dad and the sisters and other siblings get that extra income to live, finance medical care, college, and other necessities. If they couldn't send money home to mom/dad/siblings, they wouldn't come here, I promise. 90% or more of them.

We leverage their labor to deflate our domestic dollar, while they leverage our dollar to inflate their family's income back home. That's how this works. And this is all a result of leaving the gold standard. That set in motion this whole system we have today, and it was Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger who really got the ball rolling. Reagan played ball. Bush2 as well. And dems as well. Money is bipartisan. Whoever bucks this system, will LOSE the next election because "it's the economy stupid". Always.

and subsequent inflation this one has faced. We are leading the world now, on paper, economically. Others are in much worse positions. Meanwhile the UK is allowing in immigrants at record numbers, Germany, Italy, it's all the same game, the same system.

As a nation, we should be very wary of what we wish for, as we just may get it.

And for the record, I'm a conservative. There is a difference, moreso today. My family has always been conservatives. In another time, they were democrats. My grandfather's entire generation went from dem to pub. And we are at another inflation point IMO. Conservatives see beyond parties. Republicans don't, and can't. Democrats don't, and can't. Liberals, can however, just as conservatives can.

And the math on both parties doesn't add up, rhetoric notwithstanding. The results of elections do not solve our problems for a very good reason. We thrive on our problems, and when we thrive, we reelect..

They carry the world's largest supply of labor. He also was President when we left the gold standard. This allows us to leverage debt for labor. The GOP doubled down with Reagan allowing in illegals, which started the ball rolling. After Reagan the GOP designed NAFTA, again to leverage foreign labor and supplement domestic labor supply. Bush 2 had the biggest influx of illegals, and most worked in our booming housing industry, leveraged on bad debt btw. But illegal labor allowed supply to keep up with the demand of crap loans, until it all fell apart.

And democrats know the game as well, and play along, with their own rhetoric (refugees from prosecution and criminals, etc), come to live the American Dream, blah blah. But our modern system was instigated long ago with Richard Nixon and the assistance of Henry Kissinger. A beneficial side effect is this system also brings peace as you can leverage dollars, and economics to prevent wars with nations we would otherwise go to war with. Trade with them, and you can make them dependent on your dollar, and you on their labor, and neither country then sees an advantage in warfare, differences notwithstanding. Detente...... Kissinger knew it was not just a military/diplomatic term, but an economic one as well.

So yeah, if I had to pick an architect, or two, it would be Nixon and Kissinger. And the system has been tweaked and boosted by the GOP several times since. Reagan, and Bush 2 specifically, and with NAFTA. And now Biden's doing the same. Recall NAFTA was a GOP backed bill with an astonishing level of bipartisan support. And even when Trump renegotiated NAFTA, that was more for show as functionally the prior system remains largely unchanged.

Regarding the ratification of NAFTA.....

"The agreement's supporters included 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats. The bill passed the Senate on November 20, 1993, 61–38.[20] Senate supporters were 34 Republicans and 27 Democrats. Republican Representative David Dreier of California, a strong proponent of NAFTA since the Reagan administration, played a leading role in mobilizing support for the agreement among Republicans in Congress and across the country.[21][22]"

I find it interesting the GOP is now vilifying the same trade agreement they once voted to ratify. It is a GOP-created system, at the core, IMO. And everyone plays along, and everyone wins, until everyone loses. That last part happens in the future sometime.

You need to look at the immigration act of 1965. Ask yourself why Lyndon “ "I'll have those n—s voting Democratic for 200 years.” Johnson would be such a fierce proponent of opening up immigration to more non-European areas of the world. It sure wasn’t because he was a man who was a devout disciple of equality.

This was the genesis of the Democrats belief in immigration as a strategy to broaden their base.

They were onto the Dem’s plan and it was the rare plan they could get on board with, even if their motivations were more economic and less demographic/political. Both sides have continued to perpetuate the issue while answering to different masters for decades now.

Only in the last decade or so, as the Dems have cozied up to big corporate interests, have their motivations veered to economic ones as well. It’s never been anything but economic for the pubs.

At the moment the Dems need the wage stagnation effect of illegal inmigration to keep inflation from going off the charts and sending us into a full blown undeniable recession. It’s the only lever they have left.

G.W.Bush has long been exposed as predilected to Democrat values

1

Mar 5, 2024, 9:16 AM [ in reply to Re: Elon full of ####. And he knows it. ]

There is nothing new about G.W.Bush teaming up with Democrats to create a force multiplier to achieve Democrat objectives.

The genesis of Biden and former presidents Clinton, G.W.Bush, and Obama (via the latter three’s NGO) to fly illegal entry immigrants into the USA began back in 2021.

Note in the article that the original target was for ~ 85,000 such illegals to be flown into America.

This is just another example of why Trump supporters have abandoned the political philosophies of ‘traditional conservative’ (sarcasm intended) Republicans. G.W.Bush had, since before Obama’s second term had concluded, exposed himself and his status as a Democrat in disguise.

Yet, to this day, there remains a large subset of citizens who believe in a society based on merit, non-special legal privileges for the political insiders & their acolytes, and top priorities to the best interests of American citizens; this subset remains self-blinded to these truths. This subset simply refuses to recognize that the political dynasties of the Bush, Romney, Cheney, and Sununu have never been sincere about their ‘conservative’ politics.

or purposefully confusing? Did you investigate the claims made at the end of this piece for yourself?

I'm familiar with Welcome.US through the Rotary Club I'm a member of. We worked to sponsor a refugee family that was stranded in Afghanistan after the eff'd up US pull-out.

Right here is where the piece goes off the rails:

"Connected to the initiative, launched to aid in relocating some of the Afghans who were brought into the United States after the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan, was billionaire George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, which has been suspected of financially supporting Palestinian terrorist organizations."

It's a common tactic in fake news...start a piece off with factual information, which sourced quotes, etc...and then slide in unsourced BS and make it seem like real news to idiots that can't discern news from BS.

As it closes with this...which is completely unrelated:

"Funding the travel from the various nations will facilitate the planned parole of some 360,000 individuals that Biden made accommodations for in his border plan outlined during this year’s State of the Union address that he claimed brought down “unlawful migration…97 percent.”

Further compounding the danger that this program posed to the United States, on top of the already malicious globalist entities and corporations backing it, was the fact that last week at the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability hearing on Afghanistan, Special Inspector General for Afghanistan (SIGAR) John Sopko testified, “As I sit here today, I cannot assure this committee or the American taxpayer we are not currently funding the Taliban.”

Sopko’s report noted that at least $8 billion in aid meant for the Afghan people may have been compromised by interference from the Taliban."

And folks like you bite hook-line-and sinker and then you spread this BS pretending like you understand w/t/f you're talking about.

But gold is merely a hedge. It isn't an investment like bitcoin or stonks. Gold prevents a loss of wealth, it is not a gainer of wealth. It's much like housing. If I owned 5kg of pure gold, and gold went up to $10,000/oz. I would NOT be happy, or feel comfortable, AT ALL. Same when my house shot up in value. When my own home shot up in value 40% between 2020 and today, this made me very unhappy, and concerned. Most people were elated seeing their own home values climb, thinking they're getting rich(er). Not so.

Why? Because in 2020 I could have sold my home, taken the equity as a down payment, and purchased a new home, of greater value, while maintaining the same mortgage payment. Today if I sold my home at market value, used all the equity (including the 40% increase in value) as a down payment on a new home OF THE SAME SIZE/cost, and financed the rest, my mortgage payment would be 30% higher, or more actually. I can not now afford to sell my home and buy it right back. So what good comes from the 40% increase in value when interest rates are up 350%?

Anyone else gotten 40% or 300% raises in the past 4 years? Nope.

Which...is....why illegals are flooding in, because they have to. We only build our way out of this problem, and we're still 600K workers short in construction in the US, and this is counting illegals currently working illegally.

the illegals to satisfy their big money Koch aligned donors in the Chamber of Commerce/manual labor industries looking for cheap labor. George the younger Bush, also thought these illegals were predominantly Christian folk and would therefore have conservative values for when they eventually get some kind of "legal" status with an eventual path to citizenship.

Democrats aren't doing this to be altruistic but simply believe these folks will eventually, once granted legal status and eventual citizenship, be majority Democratic voters because they have a demonstrated history of being exceptionally accepting and susceptible to a socialistic society message. You can bet that if the Democrats thought all these illegals would someday (after gaining citizenship) vote Republican - Nancy Pelosi would be on that border building a wall herself.

AND this BS that we MUST have illegals coming into our country or our economy fails is just that - a total line of bullshid. The US has way more people wanting to come here than we have economic requirements. We most certainly can adjust the levers of our legal immigration system to meet ANY economic demand and and still have more applications than requirements. Everything from seasonal work visas to longer term work residency can be done through LEGAL means. To think we have to meet our economic labor requirements through the unvetted, uncontrolled illegal immigrant chaos the we currently have is a fallacy that the pro-illegal immigration camp uses to hide their political motives.
