Ahead of the much anticipated signing period; I offer this tidbit.
Don't get overly excited about a 5-star we get or one we lose. No matter your star rating; it's all about how much work you put into your body, game, knowledge, etc.
Clemson has done well for itself during the Dabo era with regard to churning out lower-tier players to the NFL.

Travis Etienne(per Rivals).

There is more - but you get my drift. Don't get too high or too low about the recruiting ranking. Especially with the way these players are moving.

But typically the top 5 in recruiting are the ones making it to the playoffs most often.
Plus it seems we have had to go down a bit on our draft board to get commitments.

Big Time!
Nobody has done less with more than Georgia until last season and this season so far! But, they have had as good of talent as anybody for years!
Never guaranteed them anything.
To some of ya'lls points; it also takes great coaching! I hope we continue to invest in our coaching; because Clemson can attract good talent even in the NIL era.

What's funny in this case; I believe either some people are making some type of negative assumption or they are just being ugly.
Or maybe are slow or more likely they are scared Shamecocks fans!
It must be scary little chicken to know; we develop players and mix them with 4 and 5-star players.
That's why your little chicken fingers pressed the thumbs-down button, LOL!

You don’t even follow recruiting, boy, and just here to be a jerk as your pulse proves.
Before last season, nobody had been to more playoffs than Clemson and that with classes ranked from 5 to 15. Do the research next time, clown boy.

No doubt.
My point in this is; people who lose it "if we miss getting a player"!
In 2016 we won the National Championship with a Freshman through 5th-year Senior composite that ranked 13th.
In 2018, we were composite #10.
In other words; we have beaten (((and beaten the brakes))) off some of the very best teams in the sport with classes below theirs.
Dabo has shown an eye for "under-valued" talent and he mixes that in with 4 and 5-star talent at key spots.
So, don't freak out if we don't get every 5-star, is my point!

Having one of the best QBs in Trevor and Deshaun make up a lot for that. In the seven years since there are what 11 guys who could produce at a similar level.

BV was a great coach when he had great players, but the past couple of seasons he couldn’t even get the plays in on time. I hope he flops at OU

No team has won a championship or played in one without at a minimum 60 % of their 85 scholly roster make-up of consensus 4-5 star hs rating. It's been well documented on here frequently. I believe it was Clemson Paw and Leon Trotsky (I think) that's pointed that out. Along with the national media. Recruiting, and getting top drawer talent makes all the difference.
We had a recruiting thread earlier today and you mistook it as negative and posted essentially what you posted here. Every team has 2 or 3 star recruits that develop and flourish. Nothing negative about Dabo but trying to say he's the only coach that develops underrated talent isn't true. Uga won a natty with a 3* qb.

I think I need a MOD to interject here.
I can't see past the 1st 4 posts for some reason. I am assuming it's because someone has done something; because this is the only thread like this.
I am also assuming somehow, some way this post was taken as a "JAB"!
Nothing could be further from that. I was complimenting our ability to churn out really good football players: who may have been underrated/undervalued.
I am confused as to how it was taken as a jab or as some type of negative post.
Somebody T-Mail me what I am missing, please! Some posters I respect have responded, but I can't see their responses.
Football talk people I believe get what I am saying here. This is a huge compliment to our program that somebody has taken to left field apparently.
I have to admit; I am very confused as to what is going on here with this.

Amen, brother. Sadly, after a decade of dominance, these "fans" are having a meltdown about how Dabo is doing. Man I cant imagine where these folks came from. Sure haven't been around Clemson football prior to 2011.
