CU 27- BAMA 17,
I believe we will ride off tackle runs behind Guillermo, MacClain (pulled), Crowder, Gore, and Leggett with Gallman lead blocking for Watson, combined with seam passes to Leggett, slants/outs to Peake, and flag/wheel routes to Scott and Renfrow.
Once Bama comes to grips with the reality that they won't be just mauling our D-Line, Goodson, Boulware, Kearse, and Green to the tune of 10 yards per carry, they will have to try to convert third and med/longs, which they are NOTORIOUSLY poor at doing. Dodd will feast- two sacks minimum. Throw one in for War Daddy as well. As long as we don't let their TE/Slot guy feast over the middle, they won't be able to consistently sustain drives... at least not to the point where they will outscore Watson, who will have the game of his career- not by putting up 600 yards, but by efficiently executing our game plan, conservative though it may be, to perfection, and by making superior decisions at the line of scrimmage and showing composure in the face of pressure.
Make no mistake though- the area that Bama has absolutely no respect for us right now, but will learn from their mistake, is their expectation to completely dominate our O Line. If anyone knows a beard gang member to pass this along to, let them know- recruiting stars and conference arrogance doesn't make them superior to you. Don't let what someone else says become your reality! You're extremely talented men who have been here putting in the work just like they have, for the same amount of time, and with better player development staff. You have the advantage, because they expect no resistance from you and have no idea what is about to hit them right in the mouth! CRUSH THE TIDE!

Our boys want it more and have just as much size and talent. I say we dominate the line as always. As long as we play out A game and don't beat ourself nobody can hang with us.

prefaced by- not being sarcastic or disrespectful-
just wondering- how do you see the game arriving at said score? Dominant running by Bama? Balanced offense with underneath passing in mismatches against LB's? Deep passes to Ridley? Defensive/special teams scores?
The average score of every team alabama has played this year combined is 17 points. Do you feel like Clemson's offense is in line with the middle of the road team on your schedule, or just that they won't play a good game under pressure?

I've said it time and time again. Only our Offense can stop itself. I think we finally put it all together. 45 is reasonable and should be what we put up every game.

Alabama receives the ball first, after a 3 and out they punt and we take over on the 35. Two runs by Gallman leave us with a 3rd and 8 and DW4 completes a deep ball to PEake who burns the Bama corner for 6. We stuff them again and quickly go up 14-0. We lead 24-14 at the half and go up 31-14 with the opening drive in the 3rd quarter.
We start to play prevent defense and conservative on offense as Henry gets going and pulls Bama to 31-28 with 5 mins to go in the 4th. Watson and Gallman lead a long drive to the Bama 45 yard line. It is 3rd and 6 with 1:20 to go and Bama has 1 timeout left. Watson takes the snap and runs to the outside...jukes one man...pump fake...and runs for the first down to clinch our first national championship since '81.
