College Basketball teams do not need 5 timeouts per half.

Especially televised games which have TV timeouts. All the timeouts make college basketball much less enjoyable to watch. At the very least they could make a rule that you lose a timeout every five minutes if you don't use it. That would keep the coaches from using all their timeouts in the last two minutes and stretching those two minutes out to 20 minutes. How do football teams get by with 3 timeouts per half and basketball teams need 5?

uh bball gets 5 to's per game, not per half. and you have to use 1 of them in the 1st half or you lose it. been watching the game a long time have you.

and I've long been an un-fan of this excessive TV timeout thing.

The timeouts are at the passage of the 16,12, 8, and 4 minute marks (first whistle), and those are just TV timeouts.
