DW--> Bowl game or Summer Drills ?

Nov 30, 2014, 9:32 AM

Tough call

But man, I'd get his surgery done with NOW.

Israel / Bryant will battle it out in the spring for backup vs RS

DW can come back in July 8 months post op and not miss a beat

Waiting that extra 5 weeks + is tough

Consider that it will be WITH A NEW OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

In exchange, will get hammered in the bowl game (Cole says hello)

I think it depends on the bowl

Dabo knows that the Orange Bowl wouldnt consider us without DW... we will see what the bowl is.

If we go to the ### Bowl, I think he will go ahead with the surgery. JMO

I'd prefer sooner than later. Look at Peake or Dye

Coming back from injuries can be a long process. Would hate to put next season at risk for a bowl game.

There are probably valid reasons to delay surgery (get Watson practicing under the new OC for the bowl game to learn the offense, etc.) but I would feel more comfortable knowing he's got enough time to heal and rehab before next season.
