Duke, Pitt, UNC

Which team should we be pulling for?
Pitt has the chance to climb in the rankings, but would do so at the expense of ND which we need to finish strong to boost our resume.
UNC has a bad loss to SCar, but has a manageable schedule with Miami at home. They are getting less respect because of the loss, also might bring a little more program credibility to the title game.
Duke has continued to win and can win out, but year after year they struggle to climb in the polls. I would put them as the favorite to win the division although I am not sure we gain much by blowing them out again.

I would like to see Duke win the coastal just because I like them best of those three. And even though I'm no Duke fan, you have to admire how they with less.

I thought it when I typed it, but it's college football where the polls are made up and academics don't matter.

UNC and "program credibility" should not be used in the.....

same sentence. The NCAA is not done with them.
Duke has gained some respect under Cutcliffe. Would love to see Pitt and Duke both take care of business and then the winner of that game come into the contest ranked in the top 15 (or at least top 20). My gut feeling is that none of those teams is good enough to win out and that there will be some sort of tiebreaker involve with two or three of them having 2 conference losses each. If Pitt beats UNC, they may be in the driver's seat, mainly because they have played more conference games at this point. Duke has the friendliest schedule left of the three.
And say what you want about Miami....their only two conference losses are to Clemson and FSU. Assuming Kaaya is back in action and they have any kind of pulse at all....they could wreck the whole thing by beating any of the three above teams. I also think that Va. Tech, now that they have their QB back, could at least spoil things for UNC in Blacksburg in a few weeks.

The unc thing has kind of "petered" out and now they are the darlings of the NC press again. A positive article about them everyday in the "Observer"
Funny how Petrino or Williams know nothing about the scandals. Right!

Pitt running the table would be best. It would only damper our win against ND if they also lose to Stanford, a team many see as the class of the PAC12. Of those three, Pitt has the best chance at being a top 15 team by the Championship game. IMO Pitt is the obvious choice to pull for.
