"I appreciate what Herbstreit said, but there's a lot of football left to be played. They don't hand out championships in September."

Yep. He's like me. He only cares about two polls. The one to get you into the playoff and the final one. They are the only ones that matter.

Actually, no. I'll be happy when proofreading isn't obviously lacking in EVERY SINGLE article.

Just think of the millions of people that has said that Dabo wasn't a coach, they said that Dabo was no more than a CEO of our team, and that he was also the main cheerleader for his team. But when you listen to what he has to say and how he says it right off the cuff, he is as much and as good of a coach as a Saban, a Meyer, a Fisher, as anybody in the coaching profession. Dabo Swinney is also very witty that helps him to be a solid FB coach that knows what he is doing in every facet of the game of FB!!!

I wouldn't trade Dabo for Knute Rockne, Nick Saban, Bear Bryant, and Urban Meyer combined. I hope he stays on as Athletic Director when he retires in 20 years after winning us 8 Natty's.

He would be perfect for the AD job. He would want every coach hire to be a winner for Clemson, and he knows what he is looking for in a coach for Clemson. Coaches in a sport that he didn't know much about the coaches in that field, be dang sure that he would find out who they are, and if he could get one of the best in that sport rest that is who he would bring in!!! Yes, Dabo after he is done with coaching, he would be an awesome asset to Clemson in the athletic department as an AD or at some compasity!!!

Spot on as usual. Sports analysts don't have to be accountable, coaches and teams do.

The difference is our D has been more lights out and our O hasn't turned the ball over as much. That reflects in the scoreboards and shows we are taking care of business earlier this season. That coupled with how our teams have finished the season since the arrivals of Caldwell and Venables says we will be at our best by season's end and since FSU's Frenchy went down everyone expects us to do as we have done in seasons past. Still, Dabo is keeping our guys focused, as he should be.
