No horse in this race for me. I dislike A&M less than Tennessee, but I can’t say I’m rooting for them either. I’m mainly watching to better understand how much better our Tigers must get to play at this level. It kind of feels like our 2018 football team as compared to the current team. There’s quality players and coaches but the gap to CWS elite is very visible.

No, he quit on his team. He comes from money so the transfer wasn’t a business decision like Andrew Mukuba. No ill will towards Mukuba.
I know some will say he wanted to be promised to play 3b. Bakich has shown to give opportunities to the players that deserve it.

I definitely am not for Amick. Zero problem with Tennessee though. They are good for college baseball, and i’m passionate about it growing

You mean UT who flips off the crowd when they hit homeruns and their coach backs them? The coach who can leave the dugout and scream at umps down by a bunch of runs in Omaha game 1 this year and nothing happens?
The UT that in our regional knew they couldn’t beat us straight up so they decided to chirp and try to get in our players heads by talking trash? Then when Cannarella says something in reply he gets tossed?
Screw UT.
Go Aggies. Their coach has Clemson ties and is 10x the coach that UT has, merely a recruiter with zero class.

There’s an article of Amick explaining why he transferred. He said that Tony V let him be him. He claimed Bakich wanted him to play a certain way and do everything a certain way.
That’s bulls***.
Bakich 100% allows his players to be themselves. Cam Cannarella is a prime example. Cam is an expressive player, Amick could’ve done so as well here.

Actually there is some truth to this.
Vitello lets his players do/be whatever they want. Chains, hairstyles, sleeves, behavior, etc.
Bakich has rules about this. (part of Leggett's doing I believe) It takes a buy in and not for everyone. Notice Clemson players all have shorter hair? Zero facial hair, except during Mustache March which raises awareness for charities. Bakich is a firm believer in community and players are out and about in the community to serve. (schools, retirement homes, etc.)
