that Bama would only have made the CFP 2 times in the past 4 years? No wonder the SEC selected teams like Mizzou/TAMU to join the SEC when they should have invited CLEMSON/FSU.

invite FlaSt to join....or at least sent out some very strong, fairly public feelers to the Seminoles....but were rebuffed.
And I'd be very surprised if there HADN'T been communication between Clemson and the SEC about joining...but Clemson made it abundantly clear at the outset the Tigers would be staying in the ACC....
Thought we were hot on joining the Big12, anyhow......loljk!

I've always been under the impression the Universities of FL, GA, and SC had a gentlemen's agreement to block FSU, GT, and CU from ever being admitted to the SEC.

the SEC didn't go after those schools, those schools came to the SEC. If you want to blame anyone, blame UT and their Longhorn Network.
Who cares anyway? Why should Clemson sweat anyone in the SEC?
