Does Mich St even have a prayer to beat Bammer?

The odds of MSU beating Bammer must be incredible. Does anyone actually pick MSU over Bammer?

Don't know much about msu but yea I think they match up well. Msu secondary can handle them. And they can stop the run right They shut down Ohio st.

Two last-second wins and keeping every game close give them

a chance. The Nebraska loss was flukey as well. They seem to find a way to stay in games. I give them the edge if it's a nail-biter, and I don't expect a blowout either way.

They have a stout defense , and I think their QB is superior to the Bama kid . Those 2 things alone make me think that they have a better shot than the odds makers say that they have.

They have a good defense and the best QB Bama has seen all season. They have also played and beaten 2-3 teams better than any Bama has beaten this season.

Yes, I think they win the game. Based on their game with UF

I think FSU would beat them also. Bama beats up on all the teams in the SEC who run a 1970's offense.

Henry will get his but MichSt D is equal to Bama. Cook is better QB and will be the difference. Maybe, haha. Clemson beats either one if they get past OK.

Yes, I think Michigan State will win. I think everyone lusts over Alabama. Including, unfortunately some of us who argue out of one side of their mouth that the media is in love with Alabama and not us. I find it ironic that we also then all assume they will win. Michigan State has looked solid in many games this year. Alabama's wins haven't looked as good to me. And, once again, if your argument is they have a tougher schedule, you're falling victim to the trap of thinking SEC is better. Could Alabama win? Of course they could. However, I think MSU wins this one.

We need a MSU blowout win and then a Clemson blowout win. Would be a huge blow to the SEC. SEC and The 12 pack were made out to be so much more elite than everyone at the start of the year.

MSU is no easy win. I think they'll come in ready. Hold it close and try to win in the 4th quarter. Kinda been their M.O in big games. Have no doubt that the powers that be match them with bama to give bama the easiest path. But those same people expect Oklahoma to beat us. Think it could get interesting. GO TIGERS!!!!!

Only game Bama played a quality QB, they lost and their defense got torched.

Michigan State is too one dimensional on both sides of the ball. They have no true running game to keep Bama honest, and their secondary is probably the weakest unit on their team. Connor Cook is good, but he can't beat Bama by himself. Bama by 2 TDs.

Maybe.
We've seen some really clunky games from the Alabama O where they struggle to even put 20 on the board. If it becomes one of those sort of games I could see Connor Cook making the 2-3 big plays he'd have to make to be the difference in that game.
Could be low-scoring and very ugly, and those kind of games are where Michigan State lives.

Hope I'm wrong but I think it comes down to bamas 5*s vs Michigan state's 3*s. State plays the O bama is set up to stop. I will be pulling hard for state though

Alabama is the single most one dimensional team in America , on offense . Derrick Henry much ? They will struggle against a solid MSU defensive front 7 . This game will not be a blowout, and I give MSU the nod in a tight last drive game .

To Beat 'Bama
Dec 18, 2015, 8:23 PM
|
|
Michigan State has to have a healthy Connor Shaw and they have to come out hot, get good O-line play - running misdirection and speed option on the edge and throwing screens and wheel routes to Burbridge and TE out-routes to Price...... then once the safeties starting cheating up, pop the TE slant-fly in the seam to Price and kick the extra point.
If they can get up a couple of scores on 'Bama, Saban will realize they need to close the gap and start throwing...... game over at that point.
