think about. He has accomplished all he set out to do here, and more. With the grousing of a portion of the fanbase over the first really "Down" year in awhile, he may just be ready for a new challenge. If Clemson can't get into the SEC, Dabo may just be ready to get there on his own. If A&M truly wants him, money will certainly be no object.
The one thing that might stop him is, total control of the program. He has had that here, but the Big Oil Barons out there will want to keep pulling the strings. Butt, Dabo is the ultimate salesman, he may actually be able to convince them to let him try it his way. THEIR way has obviously not gotten them the results they have paid so dearly for.
Don't know why, and I hope I'm wrong, but I just got a bad feeling about this.

I don't know if there is a dollar amount which would incentivize him to leave UGA. Kirby makes about 10 mil per year - likley to go up after this year if he reaches the playoffs. I doubt the Smart family is struggling to make ends meet but something crazy, like 15 or 20 mil per year might get him to College Station. I don't know if Kirby is a all money kind of guy. It seems he's a great recruiter, great developer of talent, and championship winning kind of guy. Most schools would pay a lot for that.

No and here's why: ATM represents literally EVERYTHING that Dabo has publicly stated he's AGAINST in CFB. It would be a complete betrayal of everything Dabo stands for to sign with ATM.
And for that reason, I don't see it happening.

I tend to agree but 20M a year guaranteed and a blank check for anything you need to support the turnaround would certainly make you give it some thought.

These are the facts. Dabo uses the almost cult like following to his advantage at Clemson. He built what we have now. It’s 100% his and no other coach can claim that.
It’s doubtful he leaves that behind right now to go try something new and a big maybe. Maybe the boosters let him do it his way, maybe, maybe.
I’m to the point in my career where I’m turning down offers because of the headaches. Dabo certainly doesn’t need the money so I just don’t see him wanting to put all that work into building something new when he already has a system that is working and paying him very well.

I am told by a friend in the know that coaching at Texas universities is much different than "normal". It seems like all of the big donors require and demand the coach attend kids birthday parties, weddings, corporate events, etc.
That's the reason Mack Brown left Texas.

My opinion is that Dabo could not tolerate the constant interference from fans/donors/billionaires. I'm sure he knows the situation at A&M is very inflexible. Meanwhile, he has full control at Clemson and probably has a significant raise coming to keep him in control.
But, what do I know...

The buyouts for Dabo and Smart are big. Now A&M doesn't care, but with buyout money either Clemson or Georgia would have their pick of replacements. I don't believe either if these guys would go there. Dabo mentioned appreciation of winning. A&M would fire him for 10 wins. They are rabid fans just like here. Smart is a Georgia guy and is set-up to win at least 3 more tilted in tbe next 5 years. He may very well break Saban's record at UGA.
