Does anyone know if Jeff Scott was at the game

or if he was at the building this week ? Wonder if he is "consulting" b/c I loved how we used the middle of the field this week.
I trust Dabo 100% and am behind Streeter, but couldn't hurt to get input from Jeff Scott and even get Brad Scott back in the mix....

David Hood posted last week that he contacted Jeff Scott. Jeff said he would not be in Clemson. He would be home spending time with his family.

Thank you....
Scott was a freshman in 1999... Streeter's senior year with Woody Danztler as a redshirt freshman I believe.
Besides Dabo, I think Clemson's best hire was Brad Scott. Wouldn't have got CJ or Watkins without Brad's pull with FL high school coaches.
I hope we don't lose anyone but find a place for Brad and Jeff back in the program.
Thanks for Brad Scott you Coots.... And don't hate on him. He won you your first bowl game EVER in 1994.

We wouldn’t have had Deshaun Watson without Chad Morris.

He was our single most important football recruit ever in my opinion. Deshaun led to a lot of other big time recruits, including Trevor Lawrence.

Agreed JK... DW got us the natty and to the next level.
My point was going and plucking CJ and Watkins out of FL was a huge turning point in our program's trajectory. Prior to that, we couldn't do that. I think that set the stage for getting DW and TL out of GA.
And I will always thank TB for Brad and Dabo. As much as we like to joke about the Bowden years, he did a whole heck of a lot for Clemson and where we are today.
What came first? You can't put the horse in front of the cart.... or something like that. Thats why I love Tigernet.... all of this interesting debate to fill the days between Saturday.

And why would he tell David Hood where he’s gonna be

just so he can try to blast it out to the world?
I mean really. We’re talking about actual human beings here. If I were Jeff Scott, I wouldn’t be saying Jack to anybody.

Any silence Jeff has regarding any involvement with Clemson would be out of respect to the current staff and players not to distract people like me who asked this question.
But... it comes with the territory.
I feel awful he was let go at USF. I was hoping he would make USF the next FSU, Miami or UF in their glory days, but it didn't happen. He is grown man that was compinsated well and it comes with the territory.
Doesn't matter if you are a college football head coach, or a cashier at Winn-Dixie. You don't get the job done, you lose your job. To think he is not going to be back coaching college football would be dumb. He will be back... why not with the team he played for and got him two National championships until another better opportunity comes by. Or maybe just call Clemson home for the rest of your career.

Weird post of the day given JS and TE were not offensive innovators. They simply had Mike Williams, Tee, Hunter and others to lean on. If you want to thank some for using the middle of the field it should be Kyle Richardson

We certainly had a ton of talent on offense for the 2 NC runs. Having talent like that certainly never hurt anyone, but it drives me a bit mad how so many seem to give next to no credit to Scott/Elliott for any of that success simply because of the talent. BV was widely considered to be the best DC in the country(no argument from me there btw) and he also had a ton of talent with the Power Rangers and other NFL talent on defense, but nobody seems to take credit away from him for that.
