and to think it was against a world-beater & Saban- led undefeated Bammy Team (as lil ole Clemson was too) that would have been declared the Greatest of all humanity, IF they'd won!
But they didn't and Tigers were instead the 1st ever major college football team to go undefeated with 15 wins.

cronies THREE WHOLE DAYS of burning the midnite oil to come up with an explanation. And, it was a doozy.
You see, instead of that rugged SEC schedule being the reason that SEC teams trounced all others in the PLayoffs, they suddenly figured out that the exact OPPOSITE was true! Bama was so beat down by just PLAYING all those mighty SEC teams, that they didn't have anything left for Clemson.
Of course, that doesn't explain how they beat Oklahoma 45-34 in the Semifinal Game, but hey, it's hard to weave a PERFECT Fairy Tale in just 3 days, especially when pesky facts like that get in the way.
They will never admit, just like WE had to admit a year later, that they simply got their A$$ handed to them that night.
