I have said it once I will say it again. Point Spreads don't win ball games. I could care less if the point spread is 46.5 as long as Clemson kicks a field goal, and Syracuse gets a safety. Of course I don't need any more grey hairs so I hope they make it 47.

But several close wins could drop a team out of the top four.

Assuming everyone comes into the game healthy - we should make quick work of Cuse! They don't have the depth and their QB get rattled easily from what I have seen of him. Leaves the pocket quick or not quick enough sometimes(no in between w/him).
If the Tigers focus on the little things and tackle well; it will be a long day for Syracuse!
Yes - the point spread gets covered because guys want to show their worth in a game situation. Cuse just lost to Liberty so outside of some early miracle type plays "giving them confidence" I don't expect a ton of fight.
Depth will also be a problem for them. So again, yes the point spread gets covered. I hope TE9 breaks the record in this game. I really do. Do it on the ground in a spectacular way; take a bow and then let the young guys eat.

Cuse’s roster numbers are more akin to an FCS school than an ACC school because of significant number of injuries and Covid-19 opt-outs. Fewer than 60 scholarship players are suiting up (the FCS scholarship limit is 63), and of those, nearly half are freshmen. Starting QB Tommy DeVito is out for the year. All American safety Andre Cisco is out for the year.. The three too running backs out - two opted out the other is hurt.
They barely have enough players to meet NCAA requirements. Simple put they are handful of positive a covid tests away from not be able to play the game.

The chance for a game without a bunch of the starters is always looming this year. Key players getting Covid could make for a very close game or a loss. I think Dabo knows that so he's scoring points to make it clear how good Clemson is. I think he also really thinks TL deserves the Heisman and he is changing up a little to pad his stats more than he normally would.

Hate to see a good man get fired from his job, but how bad of a beatdown could Babers sustain without getting fired before his next game? Maybe it depends on how much his buyout clause is and if it decreases any in December.

My only concern with this game is Coach Dabo affinity for Dino Babers

Clemson “could” “should” “would” cover that spread easily if Dabo puts the gas to the floor. But even in this unusual year full of different circumstances and this past weekends game, I don’t think this weekend will play to a 66 point win.
Dabo pulls the reigns in a little bit out of respect for Dino and that Syracuse program which is in bad shape.
Clemson wins/covers 59-10 in what easily could be much worse.

That is not even at the bottom of Dabo's poriority list.
But, even with that, I will still say "Yes."
If you forced me to predict I would say DJ throws at least 3 TD passes.

If we go into machine mode again, yes. Especially against a sorry team like SU.
The real key is the 3rd and 4th stringers on defense. They need to offer some resistance like against GaTech.
I want DJ to play at least one full quarter. Please no more Spiers at QB again this season.

I want to see DJ play meaningful snaps in the 2nd quarter (maybe a series in the 1st?) with the starters still in. He needs real game reps because there is more chance than ever this year that he may be called in to play.

to keep from covering a 46 point spread. The offense kind of snuck up on him last week, I think.

I believe that they would cover the spread and most likely the first half of the game, if Dabo left the starters in the game.
There was improvement in the second string in the last game(with the 4th string QB), but I don't think they would be able to cover that.
