DK factor?

Sep 7, 2021, 12:49 PM

Do you think DK gave any knowledge of Clemson system that helped the Georgia defense? Did he know offense signals for play calls from sideline? Did we change system for sending in plays from sideline? Their defense is very good, but they never seemed off balance.

I doubt it made much difference.

We still had open receivers on a lot of plays.

Interesting Post

Most can call it a conspiracy theory, but it's not outlandish to me that DK is still tight enough with his buds on the team to receive feedback that could help UGA Defense scouting and planning.

I'm pretty sure they didn't need to know the signals and plays against that offense.

Ha. When we couch potatoes can call a play before the snap, not that hard to figure out. Even with that, had we executed just a couple plays, we win.

Just stop. Nobody was calling plays before the snap.

Sep 7, 2021, 1:30 PM

There's a difference between saying, "I knew they were going to ring that" after the play, and actually calling the play before the snap. I'm going to venture to guess you didn't know a single playcall and primary receiver prior to any plays.

When the OL can't run or pass block, and the QB is basically non-functional, it's easy for "couch potatoes" to say our playcalling was bad or predictable, but the truth is there wasn't a darn thing we could do when the OL is barely doing anything and our QB was in such a funk.

I know of zero offensive plays that can work with an offensive line or functional QB on the field.

Good grief. Do you think our coaches are dumb enough to not change the signals or UGA coaches cant pick up anything DK could offer by watching film? This is classic facebook analysis...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Exactly. The signals are changed every game (for obvious reasons), and

Sep 7, 2021, 1:34 PM

its not like DK has ever known the offensive signals.

DK had zero influence in this game. I'm not sure why anyone would even suggest it. Our issues were clear and obvious, and it wasn't that UGA knew our signals.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He could barely learn the offense when he was apart of it***

No. No influence whatsoever.

Sep 7, 2021, 1:24 PM

Our struggles had nothing to do with Georgia's coverage in the secondary.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I doubt it.

Sep 7, 2021, 1:34 PM

These big programs all have tons of analysts on staff now that do nothing but study film on opponents. They probably already know pretty much anything DK could've told them.

I think it's also likely DK knew more about our defense than our offense and that certainly didn't seem to help the Georgia offense. They were nearly as inept as we were.
