How long a leash does DJU get

I’m assuming he still gets one half, but if he looks like he hasn’t got a clue, throwing dead fish to receivers, a new QB era will be starting third quarter.

So, next question, does he transfer out to yet ANOTHER school when that

happens, or does he finally ride it out and just go for the NFL Pipe Dream? (And there better be some potent weed in that pipe, I think he has no shot.)

Apparently, FSU doesn't have a viable backup. DJU has a track record at two other schools so it's not an unknown talent.

I could be wrong, but doesn’t 2020 not count against players? So if I’m thinking correctly, he could redshirt after 4 games, have another year of eligibility, and transfer out again.
2020 (Covid) 2021-2022 (2 years) 2023 (1 years) 2024 (redshirt) 2025 = redshirt Senior season
I could be wrong, but I don’t think so. As crazy as it may seem for this to be possible.

Better question is about Noel's leash...any time you are 0-2...not an SEC team and get kudos from small Paul you are screwed...Erskine & Mississippi Valley State may have openings....pull him and you look stupid for buying him (DJ) replacement does great, now you are really stupid, bad results, where do you go? Have a covid emergency?

Norvell's buyout is $63 million. He's not on the hot seat because of one bad season. They've improved every year he's been there, until this year.

Hot seat? Depends on how bad a bad season is.
If he goes 6-6, he is definitely on the hot seat. Maybe not fired at the end of this year. But firmly on the hot seat.
The Noles have a long list of problems. DJ is one of those problems. But they have quite a few other substantial problems.
They could easily end up 6-6.

Looking at their depth chart, 19 of 22 on their offensive 2 deep are seniors. Offense is starting from scratch next year. Maybe that's not such a bad thing given how they are performing now, but another aspect of dipping heavily into the portal-when you miss, you risk blowing your team up for a couple of years thereafter.

By comparison, Clemson had 6 seniors on the 2 deep for offense and 7 on the 2 deep for defense for the App State game. Take it for what it's worth.

As FSU went All In for Cam Ward. Obviously, they lost the Sweepstakes for Ward and DJU was the Fall Back option!

One would think DJ would be ok against Memphis. They are not exactly top tier athletes. They may have a few great players, but he should look better than he has the last two games. I am hoping he does just well enough to keep the starting spot until the Clemson game.

is going to save them. Yeah, DJ has looked goofy out there, but it's hard to do anything in the passing game when you're averaging 2.5 per carry.
69 pass attempts to 47 run attempts is not a recipe for success.
