You gotta put it where your receiver can get it, not just chuck it up and hope.
Personally, looks like the WR either lost it in the sky or made a bad adjustment on the ball by possibly slowing up some.
I can agree that you don't just "chuck it up and hope" because that's backyard football but adjusting to the ball is certainly on the WR to go up and make a play too.
Poor pass, WR losing the ball, DB making a good play -- maybe the answer can be found in all of the above.

Hard to really tell from that video, but looks like the WR had to stop and come back to the inside. That would make it more of a poor throw than anything else.
Personally I would like to se DJ do well, but I don’t think he will.

They say he looked sharp at times and their wrs were letting the QBs down frequently. I don't think DJ holds off the true freshmen there but I'm not going to judge anything off of any spring games. Most teams are just trying to get some tape running base plays so the can gauge effort and on field athletic ability with an emphasis on minimizing injuries.

Legit sounds like deja-vu for DJ -- he could find himself in a similar scenario again where a dynamic FR could potentially upend him before the end of the year.
That said, outside of one highlight on Twitter, I didn't get to see how the FR QB played, and the same for DJ as I could only find 2 highlight clips:
1. Completed pass on one of his earlier drives.
2. The INT OP posted here.
One thing for sure is DJ ain't gonna get the same leash he had at Clemson so it's gonna be interesting keeping tabs on how his journey goes at Oregon State.
Personally, I hope he does well unless he finds a postseason matchup with Clemson.

DJ threw hard balls to catch looks like it’s still the same. Looks like he had his mind made up to look left to try to get the safety off and then he was gonna look back right and throw it up no matter what
