Ppl pay to watch, he gets paid, criticism is fair this year. He threw for 60% and scraped out a win against a .500 team. Still missed the gimme throws, coaches don’t trust him to throw on 3rd and 10, etc. It was better but I’d chill.

You're kidding right? He could have read a book back there last night. OL did a good job in pass pro, granted that's because Louisville rarely sent more then 4. The blocking schemes for the running game was openly bad though and it was not just a personel issue. Can't pull the entire backside of the line and not have some one block down or a TE on the pulling side to slow the backside pursuit. That was ugly and saw it several times.

DJ seems to me to be too mechanical, maybe over coached. Coaches focus too much at times on the process instead of letting the athletic instinct flow freely. I'd like to see DJ loosen up and just play.

We all know DJ isn't good. What more is there to say about it? Best we can do this season is just rally behind him and hope for the best each week. He is incrementally getting better each week, although it's very little but I'll take it at this point. I wouldn't say DJ was the weak point of the game today though, by a long shot.

He played better tonight and made some plays! I like Caldwell but I think it is time for a new voice to coach the O line!!

I have a hard time seeing how he holds off Klubnik next year. That kid is going to be a monster and looks to be perfect for what we want to do. Best thing DJ can probably do is to lose about 20-30 pounds and improve his run ability.

I actually thought he played pretty good last night. Still missed a bunch of throws but he made a bunch more than normal. This still doesn’t mean you can excuse away the other 8 games and say he’s good but at least he made some plays last night.

I haven’t been a fan but i did see him work through some progressions last night. And they ran him more. He has improved but he is not the answer. We were spoiled by elite qb’s DW and TL. Also we have high expectations watching elite qb’s in games vs us.
We see other elite qb’s when we watch other non- Clemson games. DJ is getting better but I don’t think he will be elite.

Let's see, if we compare him to Cunningham's performacne who had a noticeable injury and still gutting it on a potential game winning drive - I would give DJ maybe a C. Improvement yes. Some new touch to 'some' of his passes, yes. 3 short runs for 1st downs, yes.
