talent. Cade is good, not great, same for Mafah. OLine is improved from last couple of years but still just above average. Defense while O.K. might be worst we've had in last 10 years.

If 50 is average out of 100, we are 70-75. No where close to elite like we used to be.

Sure we are objectively "good " team. Not many 8-2 teams you wouldn't say that about at this point in the season. But the reality is it would be hard to say we are anything more than that unfortunately. We will end up with 2-3 losses and go to some random bowl game and end up with a season very similar to the last four, which also indicate those teams were "good". You can either be at peace with that or gnash your teeth at what once was but will probably never be again.

I think we have a good enough team that is capable of beating anybody on a given Saturday.
Pitt’s a solid team. Backups usually don’t perform that well, but that guy played well and took a beating.
Clemson misses opportunities. They are there, but they miss closely on a bunch of things.
As simple as receivers not getting loose for TDs when they should be.
We’re good, and we will be a real contender if everybody is healthy, and we somehow get a chance.

I agree with many people here - we are good but not great.
Imagine what we might be if we had shored up our 2 or 3 weakest spots through the portal. This is the difference between good and great in the current NCAA.
