He'll make guarantees and locks but give some conditions with it. "If GT gets X, Y and Z they win."
Which often times he's right, a team gets over X amount of rushing yards they win. He uses that as his excuse.

Duke is the best team in the ACC. Cash is the best DE in the nation. Duke is now #2 in the nation. They are highly underrated.

The guy is WRONG just as often as he's right, if not more. If you didn't have anything to do but sit and take notes of things he says, you'd see that he's really all over the place with his "prognostications" because he subtly changes his "opinions" throughout the season, then harps on whichever turns out to be right. That's usually the clips that he has Romona play for him. The guy is a genius in that right because it allows him to fool so many people. Though he does seem to dedicate alot of time to his show prep, he's a master at filling air time with fluff. Just pay attention to him through an entire football season and you'll see through his mask....

It's his character/persona and it is entertaining at least.

Plus he's pretty good about things that matter (kid's cancer charities, 9/11 dedicated shows, etc.) Yeah, he comes across as arrogant, but that is the point. That is what he's paid to do.

True. The way he is about the military and his annual dedication to 9/11 are genuine too. Good point man
