Didn't we bring in CBB for PROGRESS?

Three straight tournament appearances before his arrival, and one play-in game appearance with a team full of players he did not recruit once he arrives. His last FIVE seasons? Nothing. That's not progress. That's not "building a program." He's struggled to even make the NIT. I'm sorry but once you take off the orange glasses you have a decent defensive coach who can't recruit or build a consistent team. That's not the Clemson way and I'm not going to cheer for mediocrity.

Rant over. I just love basketball and hate to see us in this sad state.

Agree. The program is not progressing. Time to go another way. Probably not possible, though, with that crazy contract extension Brownell got. Our Athletics Dept. has seen excellence in the football program. Should be able to emulate that in basketball. May take years but the blueprint is there. First step, hire a winner.

I really don't want to draw a comparison between Clemson Basketball and South Carolina football, but there are similarities in the history. W e have no Bball history and have to compete in the best league against teams that will always get better players. I have no idea what the answer is to fixing this.

No, we brought him in because Oliver Purnell QUIT on Clemson

Just like we brought in Larry Shyatt because Rick Barnes QUIT on Clemson.

Clemson did not choose to loose their better coaches. Those guys simply QUIT.

You can complain about the current coach all you want, but the plain fact is that he's here entirely because our last guy did not want to coach at Clemson any more.
