I’ve never heard someone say how “really excited” they are about every blessed thing in a completely monotone voice
We obviously don’t run practices for crap anymore. If you are going to be all Polly Anna about it, at least act excited.
The guy has no clue how to get this offense back in gear and I think he believes we are “just fine and them breaks just and going our way”. Utter denial.
He is lucky Dabo has a heart because Nick Saban would have sent him packing midseason.

Nick Saban wouldn’t have even let him in the facility in the first place.
Maybe Streeter will figure it out eventually. We are going to get to watch him try, I’m afraid.

when our offensive coordinator position opened up.
That means Streeter is the best OC in the country, right?

I do like that streeter uses tight ends more this year, but I see us needing explosive receivers more than anything else right now. None of our current wide receivers would start at the top 4 teams.

After 2 years of DJ, yes. We talk about leaders in the locker room - we need coaches with experience and “fire”. Streeter is sheepish when he talks. Wes was described as “laid back” when he was hired. That’s how we’ve been playing .. but a great round table prayer circle in the coaching room. We’d get curb stomped by most top 10 teams but ..we can still pat ourselves on the back for being able to compete in the ACC.

So we should have played TP last year?

The offense didn't look "sheepish" with a good QB. Did you watch Streeter play football? He is nowhere near sheepish.
It's been 2 whole games. Just stop.

Did you see the offense the last two games?

Looked pretty darn dynamic to me. We've seen exactly TWO games with the new offense, and in both games it was completely different than the previous 11 games. Much more pace and explosive potential.
Some of you guys really are reeeeally needing a scapegoat, huh?

I wouldn't call it "dynamic" in the Orange Bowl! 14 points

can't be considered dynamic. I admit, it has the potential to be dynamic with Cade at QB, and we did moved the ball pretty well until we got inside the 30 yard line, but a "dynamic" offense would have scored more than 14 points!

500 yards and complete domination of the offensive stats shows a dynamic offense. And what about UNC?
Like said, in two games the offense is much more dynamic. That's just a simple fact.

Crap we’ve been watching the last 2 years
And the fact that we just played the 117th and 126th rates pass defenses in college football
UNC and Tenn have about the worst 2 passing defenses in all of college football.
If you guys want to talk about how dynamic we looked, go ahead but this old fart thinks you are deluded and detached from reality

you're going to continue to try and find fault in the obviously much more dynamic offense? I mean come on man, we saw a gigantic step up, defenses or not. The fact it's a GROWING offense under this freshman, that's very encouraging.
I know encouragement isn't something some dudes want to entertain right now, but as for me the elephant in the room has left the building and I'm looking very much FORWARD to what the offense becomes under a fully capable QB.
Bottom line is, again, we were terribly handcuffed for 25 of the last 27 games. I wish some folks could focus on the future and the noted improvement instead of working to find excuses for the visible improvement and lumping the REQUIRED playcalling from those 25 games into the last two.
Forward. Let's go!

IMO, our lack of success inside the 30 had little to do with Streeter and/or play calling, it just exposed our receivers' inability to separate from the defenders and our lack of a receiver that can turn a 50/50 ball into an 80/20 ball. In fact, we saw very few contested catches from our receivers all year. Combine that with their inability to block on the edge and we have only one potentially successful play remaining, the read option.
