Did we miss the mark on UCONN with ND invite?

Extremely rich basketball tradition and respectable academics. I don't think their football team would be the absolute worst in our conference, plus they would be a full member unlike our newest prima donna "member". What say you?

a few years back.
Long range, I think inviting ND will pay big dividends, but we certainly could have done worse than UCONN as an alternative.

They are horrible in football. Their stadium is an hour from campus. They won't get any better in football.

It's not exactly like Indiana is the South. Geographical considerations aside, I want schools that are willing to reciprocate to the conference via full membership, not have their cake and eat it too (even if they still bring in more $).
