He also visited UNCheat and Usuck before choosing Tenn. He has made a statement digging on the coach at Clemson for being too controlling and cramping his style while Tenn. Allowed more freedom of expression, etc.

We've had some pretty strong players come from smaller baseball programs. So your comment is very ill-informed. Lot of big time programs with players I wouldn't want. So under your logic you wouldn't take a Strasburg bc he played at SDSU, right?

That once a Tiger always a Tiger is really misleading IMO bc, I take it as that if the person leaves to go pro, or they decide to quit their sport they committed to at Clemson, and they leave Clemson and transfer to another school only bc that other school has an educational program that Clemson doesn't have. But if they leave the team to go and play for another team, once a tiger do not fit that person the way that I see it. They can't be a traitor and remain always a Tiger, no sir, that's like trying to mix oil and water, it don't mix or fit well IMHPO!!!!

If they quit the team because they get buried on the depth chart and chose to go to a smaller school for a chance at some PT, I'm usually fine with that.

Not even close to right. This wasn't about NIL. Clemson can put together very competitive NIL deals in football, basketball and baseball. Difference is Clemson is going to morally do it.

Especially since it appears he left because he was pouting after having an All-American season. I know it's possible that there could be legit reasons we are unaware of for leaving, but if it was because he was ticked off and throwing a fit, then I can't pull for him no matter where he goes.

Hate to lose him, obviously he became a very good player for us. I think it was all about playing time and being told he would be DH again next year. Better he goes to UT than usuc or UGA.

If he left because he was the DH and wanted to play in the field then he can prove his skills in practice or move on. He moved on. Our coach put together the team in a way to play best. That was his job. Don't bad mouth the coach. Just move on.
