Mark Richt confirmed to reporters on Tuesday that one member of UGA’s 2014 recruiting class did not qualify academically.
“There’s a young man who is not going to make it,” Richt said.
The UGA signee is wide receiver Gilbert Johnson of Homestead, Fla., according to several media outlets. He will likely end up at a junior college.
Richt didn’t name Johnson on Tuesday but he was asked if it was a wide receiver. Richt nodded his head to say yes. “It’s probably who you think it is.”
That’s the bad news; the good news for UGA is that the rest of the 21-member class has reported to campus, with the exception of former Grayson High School defensive back Shattle Fenteng, who is finishing up classes at Hutchinson junior college.
“Everybody who was supposed to make it, made it,” Richt said. “I don’t think anything will change on that front other than Shattle will (report) in July.”

3rd GA player from secondary leaving now.
Louisville is taking anyone who is willing to come there, doesn't matter about off field issues.

You have to give MR and the UGA program props for consistently doing the classy thing with recruits who mess up. He doesn't have room for bad apples and it does take some talented kids off the team.
Hopefully they destroy the coots after we play a tough win between the hedges. Not delusional Xbox dawg, just optimistic.

I give them props for getting rid of the ones who get caught for troublesome things. I also remember that it was he and their other coaches who recruited those classy guys in the first place. Granted, everybody has some, but they do seem to have a huge share of problems.

Cole Stoudt is smiling. That's three potential starters gone from their secondary: Matthews, Wiggins, and Harvey-Clemmons.

and so far you're losing quite a bit of experience from that secondary. We may lose Sammy and Bryant but we have 4-5 guys that have a lot of game experience. If I'm your DC I'm blitzing our RT all game long to try and rattle Cole.

Yeah remember when he did a great job with tons of NFL talent.
Remember when his secondary looked like they had no idea what to do against Auburn.

It doesn't matter who they play, they could have a sack of potatoes as the QB. It is between the hedges so we don't stand a chance.

his ankle and almost made the tackle. But, alas, he did not. Great speed though. Thought he would turn into a great player. Georgia will definitely miss him.
