Parking advice needed

It has been several years since I last went to a home game. My pops is coming into town and we secured some UVA tickets. Are there stil pay to park lots around downtown? Or what would you suggest? Please keep in mind my dad is in his 70’s, so ideally limiting walking. Thanks and Go Tigers!

If he has a handicap permit, I do believe there’s special parking for that? I could be wrong but I think they have a lot with shuttles

The past few years the handicap parking has been behind Sikes Hall with a shuttle that drops off right at the stadium.

If you don’t have a handicap placard it will be tough without having to walk some. Even for the lots that have a shuttle, the shuttle drops off over by the baseball stadium - which is a bit of a hike to the stadium.

Someone near you that you can meet up to buy their parking pass.
If you park at Snow, Seneca Creek or Newspring, they will drop you off at baseball stadium and the shuttle has its own lane.

St Andrews Catholic Church downtown still does paid parking. But that is a pretty good hike. I saw someone mentioned the possibility of a handicapped placard. If you have that, the handicapped lot is behind Sikes Hall.
