Deer FSU student who had the bright idea to bring the spirit

drum on the road to Clemson this weekend,
Don't count on it returning to Tallahassee in one piece, not to mention all of the other he## that is going to befall it in the midst of our tailgating crowd. Not that we're a bunch of hooligans or ne-er do wells as a rule, but mixing 80,000 rabid fans, libations, hype, emotions, you know, the typical college gameday football atmosphere, is just asking for mob rule to take over, and believe me, it will, in some form or fashion.
So don't go crying to your friends, or school officials, or alumni or what have you that a bunch of meanies at Clemson destroyed and defiled your rat-a-tat tool. It is going to happen. It requires sublime idiocy to think that you could take such a device into the belly of such a rival and not have this happen. You can count on it. Were we to transport Howard's Rock and place it at the entrance to your stadium I would expect a similar fate. Heck, it gets harmed staying right where it is. Bringing a drum, to beat in midst of your enemy, on a gameday that will be a day-long affair? Abject stupidity.

The ride home will let them know what a bad idea it was to transport that POS to Death Valley.

FSU's president to diffuse the potential problem this may cause, by letting them know in no uncertain terms, that the drum is not welcome and will not be allowed on Clemson's campus.
FSU is setting bad precident here as they are courting trouble.
God forbid that they bring that noismaker onto Bowman during the Gameday show. Nothing good could come of it.
Maybe I'm worrying too much, but I fear that a black eye could be put on this otherwise glorious weeknd.

so you have to spend thousands to be a real fan? I do, but that doesn't mean my friend, who doesn't buy Clemson tickets isn't a "real fan"

Seems like it would get pretty annoying for Clemson fans tailgating at Y Beach. Can you preregister a noise complaint?

I could sense the mobs forming at the gates on this one. Nobody here wants to be a vandal but crowds are different people sometimes.
FSU police as an armed escort? What is that about. Nuts.
Go Tigers!

who couldn't care less about this spirit drum. It's going to be in a parking lot, not the stadium, so it has no real bearing on the game. I do think it'd be a shame if some Clemson fans with poor/clouded judgment decided they needed to vandalize it.
