I've been to that beach, no reason she should have been that close

More Darwinish, that woman, or this girl?

It's a push

Jul 13, 2017, 12:07 PM

I mean, you see a 747 flying right near you, and you hang around ?

Dude, some of my players tell me they take their phones in the shower with them. SMDH. I told them about electrocution and such, but of course, what does some olde dude know ?

No, I still possess the instinct to get away from large

moving objects that could kill me. There were kids swimming across the lake from Y beach to the rowing docks on July 4th weekend.

What in Perry Nobles name could be so important that you have to take your phone into the shower? Why do kids not have this simple life understanding about electricity and water? Why do they not think cars, boats, and planes can kill them? Is it because they live a digital life with little to no real world experience? If I ever get my redneck Dr. Phil show, I'll bring you on so we can discuss these things.

They claimed it was so they could read and reply to texts

Jul 13, 2017, 1:26 PM

This next generation is addicted to their phones.

Oh and Dr. Lakebum show ?

I think the big thing here is she had it plugged in

Jul 13, 2017, 12:15 PM [ in reply to It's a push ]

charging it. I dont think a cell phone has enough charge to electrocute anything by itself.

I think we need a test on this. Perhaps Micallen

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well yeah, that's the crux of the problem

Jul 13, 2017, 12:20 PM [ in reply to I think the big thing here is she had it plugged in ]

It's still kind of sickening that people can't be away from their phones for that long though. This is coming from a guy with a TV in his bathroom FWIW.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgringofhonor-lakebum1-110.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree... that is why I have been so anti smart phone.

Jul 13, 2017, 12:27 PM

I finally got one about 1 year ago because of what I do... other than that. I would rather interact with the people and world around me.

I'm proud of you man.

From a broke college student just a few years ago, to a successful boat owning, married professional dropping his first humblebrag. *fistbump

Really? You have a better suggestion for dumptime? I'm all ears.

That sounds like a 1980's PSA ad.***

Re: stupid article

Jul 13, 2017, 1:53 PM [ in reply to More Darwinish, that woman, or this girl? ]

Stupid article.

It wasn't the cell phone.

It was the connection to the ac current from the outlet.

If she hadn't had the phone plugged into the outlet, she would have just had to buy a new phone.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm trying to figure out how she electrocuted herself.

Jul 13, 2017, 2:02 PM [ in reply to More Darwinish, that woman, or this girl? ]

The power coming out of the wall wart is only 12v DC..at 2 amps or less.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

lol....stupid media
