That is an amazing story to me. Thanks for making this post now. This effort by GT to limit the number of fans at the game should,and likely will, encourage the players and coaches to “have no mercy” on the poor yellow jackets

be involved on campus the way Coach Howard was when I was young, through the time I was at Clemson. It was always cool to see Coach Howard and I have stopped multiple times to just say hi and it always turned into a conversation. Same with Coach Ford, we have ran into him in Walmart twice, stopped to say hi and ended up doing some shopping with him both times. Also had breakfast with him in the old Hardees across from the stadium in 1990 because he didn't want to eat alone. He is a great guy with lots to add to the university and football program. Go Tigers!

and mac’s but never on campus. He’s also been to a few practices since Dabo’s been coach.
I’m not sure how much he drives now but I agree, I’d love to see the university have him more involved.

I remember two quotes of Danny’s that only he could make. The first was after he got into an argument with Monte Kiffin (Lane’s dad) at mid field after an NC State game. The next day the Greenville News had a quote from Danny that was I shouldn’t have “went” on the field. The second one was when it was rumored that he may run for a state representative seat. Danny said something like I ain’t saying yea and I ain’t saying nay. They don’t make ‘em like coach Ford anymore.
