NEVER let your kids return to play...

Sep 29, 2022, 10:36 PM

After a concussion until they are FULLY recovered. Not 50%, not 90%, not 95%. They need to be back to their baseline.

What happened to Tua tonight is a version of something called Second Impact Syndrome. It's on my Top 10 of worst things I've seen in medicine. I can only hope that he'll be able to walk again. He should not play football again for a very long time (if not ever) even if he can walk again.

That kind of thing can be absolutely devastating.

PLEASE if you have kids - never let them return to play until they are fully recovered. No trophy is worth the potential agony of Second Impact Syndrome.

It always seems like the next concussion is easier to get than the last.

You see it in boxing and mma where a guy can go years without getting KO’d, then when it happens once, they start becoming more vulnerable to it again. Hunter Renfrow is another one. He took shots for years and then got KO’d in the Duke game, got KO’d on a punt return in Oakland and just recently got KO’d by Isaiah Simmons last week on a hit that didn’t appear extraordinarily hard.

He almost definitely had a concussion four days ago

and I heard rumored he actually had TWO on Sunday. Should NOT have been playing tonight.

The hit against Baltimore was brushed under the carpet. Someone's head should roll for that. Tonight is proof.

Never allowed my son to play football. Ever

He had no choice in the matter. It was basketball, band and soccer for him.

I still like watching football but ain't no way I was going to let my son risk his brain playing it.

of his experiences with head trauma. He suffered a long time and tried to tuff it out before eventually seeking help.

Check out on YouTube if you interested.
