Colorado to retire both

Shadeur Sanders and Travis Hunters jersey. Travis Hunter I can possibly see, since he was the Heisman winner and won a bunch of other national awards but they were both only with the program for 2 years. Doubt either of them broke any kind of meaningful records while at Colorado. Shedeur went 13-11 as the starter. Didn’t win their conference or make the playoffs. Quite the low bar they are setting for a jersey to be retired. Guess when dady is the coach you can do anything. What a joke to other guys that played 4 years in the program and don’t get those same accolades. Read that kordell Stewart helped Colorado win a co national championship and his number isn’t even retired.

These are the exact thoughts I had when I saw that news.

Weird that they would retire Shadeur's.

I had to look up his stats, Shedeur does have the career TD record, single season records for yards and TDs and single yame records for TDs and yards. The offensive system and his father made a point to pad stats. Had he been at Colorado for 3-4 years, he'd have most of their QB records, if not all, with very little doubt.
With that said, being Deion's kid who followed dad wherever her cached in the NIL era it feels more of a hired mercenary than one of Colorado's all-time greats.

Kordell Stewart came after their National title. Darien Hagan was the QB on the title team. Stewart's number should be retired though.

Deion's boy is a bit of head-scratcher IMO, especially when you consider not 1 member of their national title team has that honor.
