Within the last few days, Dabo has said that he should have redshirted last season, but couldn't because of injuries. Went on to say he still isn't quite ready.
Just an opinion ,when Dabo talks like this ,he usually wants to put the after freshman RS on them.Seems Dacari knows where he stands and wants to move on.
All that said, Randall must be the real deal. First Ladson left, now Dacari

Randall is a backup for now so why all the love? He has a chance to be a good player down the line but for now he has only played a few plays but that might change Saturday.

To be honest, this could be a situation where Randall would've been a potential starter by now had he not got hurt.

The portal has cause a lot of top teams to fall a little bc top backup aren't wanting to stick around to help their team with quality depth. They would rather start for bad teams that will never get to the playoffs. They don't realize that it hurts them way more than it helps them bc they won't be seen in their starting role with a bad team, like they would be as quality depth with a playoff team!!!
For what ever the reason, they don't understand that the NFL draft a lot of quality backups every year, and some will get drafted over a starter that was in front of them....

I don’t think this is true. There were 28 drafted WRs this year. As far as I can tell every one of them was listed as a WR1. That includes receivers from Lenoir Rhyne, Samford, South Alabama, North Dakota State, and SMU. I did not find every depth chart but really doubt they drafted WR2 from Lenoir Rhyne.

Hunter Renfrow wasn't a WR1.

Umm, I didn’t thumbs down you. Further, I wasn’t replying to you. The person I replied said that “backups” “often” get drafted. Most teams have three starting wide receivers on their depth chart. All the receivers that were drafted last year were wide receiver 1 at their respective postion on their teams’s depth chart - X, slot, z. Different wr positions have different strengths. Further, Hunter Renfrow was absolutely our WR1 in the slot position prior to being drafted. “Backups”, as I replied to, does not mean anyone less than whoever is perceived as a team’s best receiver. It means a non-starter at one of the teams designated positions. So you did not prove me wrong and seem awfully sensitive about a TD. But I’ll refrain from the name calling. If you doubt me about the TD I’d be happy to give you one to to show I previously hadn’t.

couple of national championship teams.
If he wasn’t WR1 for Clemson as a senior, he was certainly WR1a ...
And if a TNet vote were taken as to which graduated WR we could most benefit from having on the team right now, I’d wager Hunter Renfrow wins by a comfortable margin.

I think he’s confusing wr1 as it’s used in fantasy football with wr1 in three positions on an actual depth chart. The whole point of the post I replied to was that “backups” get enough playing time to get drafted. It’s just not true.

I picked Dacari as my breakout player in a pre-season thread. Man that did not age well. He just broke out of the team completely.
Maybe he will reconsider and Dabo can let him redshirt this year.

then the kid should have stuck around to put in the work. At this point, its highly unlikely he'll ever make the NFL. Based on his expectations coming in I'm sure he thinks that is his goal.
I've never seen it work out that way for one of our transfers. BUT I have for those that stick around, put in the work, and have a blow out senior season! Sometimes it takes that long to get to that level which looks to be his case. Unfortunately for him, he's taken some bad advice.

Yeah. Also, if someone can’t get meaningful reps with our current WR group, I don’t think transferring someplace else is the answer to them finding their way to the NFL. Maybe he just loves football so much he wants more play time before college is over and he gets a job doing something with his degree ?♂️.
