Dabo vs Jimbo

Reading about us bringing in Hunter Johnson it further amazes me the job Dabo has done at Clemson.

A recent athlon ranking of coaches has finally given Dabo the respect he dederves. He has slowly risen up those rankings, bypassing Cutcliffe, Petrino etc.

Now he sits behind only Jimbo. I get that. Jimbo has the only NCAA title and has won a few more games but considering the 20 year history of the 2 schools before each arrived what Dabo has done in ?7-8 years is more impressive.

I wonder if in 5 years will Dabo won't be the consensus best coach in the ACC.

I think that they both have done a good job in winning games for their programs, but JimBo will bring in the crooks right along side the good guys. Dabo will only knowingly take just the good guys!!!

they were struggling a little under Bowden's last years. How he has done it is sketchy, but you have to give it to him. He does have a NC. We are neck-and-neck

Even if he wins three NCs in a row the media and other team's fan will not appreciate his greatest attribute. Dabo does things the right way. He doesn't take short cuts which lead to corruption.

We all remember when he first took the helm. Every one of us had a 'win now,' attitude but not all of us had the patients to support Dabo's approach to building a program. He was meticulous in his way of going about the process. Sometimes it hurt when recruits would decommit and go elsewhere. It was a little embarrassing and sometimes we seemed to really need them to fill voids on our team. Eventually we learned that we didn't need what some of those boys brought to college with them.

Dabo may become the acclaimed best who ever coached the game but I doubt other fans and the media will ever respect Dabo for the true blessing he's been to Clemson.
