Dabo melts frustration

I will admit to being very frustrated and disappointed indicated by several posts over the last two weeks with my displeasure about our play. And then I watched Dabo's post-game press conference yesterday and realized how lucky we are to have such a positive, strong, faith-based coach with a great attitude and priorities in the right place.
I'm sure much of what has occurred so far in terms of our play is not to his liking either. However, his job is to keep the troops positive and motivated and move forward toward improvement. As he said, winning is not easy. He just made it look easy for so many years and I definitely became spoiled and raised my expectations for our program based on his consistent success in both recruiting and winning.
Now, this doesn't mean I won't continue to be frustrated when we play poorly. But, to see how Dabo handled the Ella situation and the life lessons he is giving to impressionable young men about the really important things, makes me glad and proud we have him under contract for another 10 years.
I do trust him to get things turned around and I also trust him to make the tough player and coach calls when necessary. I will still point out my concerns but please also understand, that doesn't make me a Coot when I do. If I don't get my frustrations out in this forum then I have to go kick my dog and I don't want to do that either

Keep in mind in 2016 we almost lost to Troy & NCSU & did lose to Pitt. How frustrating was that?

I was at the Pitt game with a Pitt grad that I invited to come with me. The first game I had seen in 30 years because I live in AZ. You can imagine how I felt that day. Just like we couldn't stop those screens against Furman, we couldn't stop that dang shuttle pass Pitt was running all day long.

We are 2-0 and ranked in the Top 5 so frustration should not be in the conversation.

The frustration comes from knowing that if we keep playing like this when we hit the meat of our schedule we most likely won't be in the Top 5 anymore. However, I do expect us to improve and get closer to peak performance sooner rather than later.

game winning 45-7 instead of 35-12.
This of course does not mean that we are headed for 15-0.
It just means that we could be, the Furman score and game notwithstanding.
PS: There was much anxiety over the results of the 2018 game because we let them score a TD and didn’t score 70 ourselves.

What also should be added for the poor play, we only had about 4 days rest between games whereas Furman had 10.

I really believe that was a factor which is why I am hopeful for this next game after a "normal" week of practice.

My take on this is simple. Ever since Dabo has taken the reigns, we've been "slow starters." It used to bug me. But I have complete confidence in Dabo's ability to lead the program. The issue isn't starting out in "Championship Form." The issue is playing well enough to make the playoffs and getting better every week. It's important to "peak" at the right time. I live in Georgia and often grow weary of hearing all the chatter from the Dawg fans. But I'll confess that I was impressed with their play against Oregon. They were the best team in the country on that day. Problem is, the Championship is 3+ months away. Does anybody think they can improve on that performance? Does anyone think they can maintain that "edge" all season long? I think they've peaked too early and will likely lose steam throughout the season. The same might be true for the Bucknuts. So I'm going to keep the faith and trust that our guys will continue to improve and arrive at the end of the season "in the playoffs" and "in playoff form." The best is yet to come! Go Tigers!!

He’s on the ground and knows this team. We’ve all seen this show before but because we are ignorant to many things I think it bothers us (I know it does me) more than it should. Lots of FB to be played and Clemson is a grower on a shower, always has been
